Definitely UP.
I used it exclusively for two weeks once, kills are just an absolute pain to get with it. Even with two complex damage mods stacked on an Auto SCR, it just feels like it's shooting BB's at enemies. The visual effect of the gun bouncing around everywhere, and the strobe light effect of the shots do not help this weapon either.
I by far prefer the semi auto SCR over the auto SCR any day.

I think the weapon is actually great when compared to the AR; bigger magazine, nice sight, much more range, only a small amount less DPS. The aSCR is far from OP in my opinion. I used the aSCR as my main weapon until I managed to get good at the regular (tactical) SCRs, now I'm addicted to the regular SCR + Amarr assault, but I still use the aSCR on some of my logis.

I really dislike you right now.
I know the aScR is rather well balanced but as a shield tanker I absolutely despise that thing. Id rather take on a Boundless CR or Kaalakiota RR then a Carthum aScR.

I meant I would rather face the OP weapons in combat than an aScR as it is specifically designed to kill shields and I'm a shield tanker. Where as the RR and CR are armor killers.
no seriously the sScR makes 500+ shield look like tissue paper. Where as with the RR and CR shields have a slightly better chance against them.

Where as my Ishukone aRR has a chance of fighting back against Kaalokiota RR and Boundless CRs

I by far prefer the semi auto SCR over the auto SCR any day. It's all visual though. I've played games long enough to.realize that some of the highest recoil weapons are the most precise, not accurate but precise.
What I mean is that the rifle will hit the spot your sight was on, not necessarily where they are while firing. In this case it is more accurate than the AR this is also true while hipfiring.
I think it's better than the AR. Only downside is it costs more than a GEK.

I happen to agree a lot with you on those points after using it against proto fittings it does not feel like a proto weapon even with prof 4 and 3 complex damage mods, perhaps it is just me. However, in a team with combat rifles, MD's, HMG's, lasers and other SCR's it would be useful to take out shields fast and let the others finish off the armour fast.

This seems like a good place to put this: A friend of mine uses the ADV AScR, and I use a STD RR. We were on the bridge on the one where you capture A, D, and E. We stood there for 3-4 minutes, killing EVERYTHING. I killed TEN people, while she killed 4-5 of them. Anyways, we were perfectly balanced, as she is also Gallente, and I'm Caldari, so Armor AND shield tanking.
They got so mad they dropped an OB on US, because we killed them ALL. I got 25 kills that match.
And this happened TONIGHT.

The AScR is supposed to be a cheap copy of the (Gallente) AR, the same as the TAR is a cheap copy of the ScR. At present the AScR performs around the same level as the AR, and is much better than the TAR (or breach/burst AR for that matter).
That suggests either that the AScR is OP or the AR is UP. I'd be inclined to say the AScR is okay and the AR needs a bit of a buff. |

That is the inverse of what should happen based on damage profiles.

Especially with ADV vs STD, you'd think the ADV would gain more kills |

Call me FOTM chaser but I swapped to CR after long time playing with aSCR (Dislike the normal scr. Shots should leave when you PRESS the trigger. Not when you release it ha.) The ascr just feels too light. (Prof and SS 3 in it.)
Also the very next day scrambler rifles were introduced I made a post about assault versions recoil which still seems like overkill. It feels like I imagine Parkinson's to be honest.

I picked my AScr up last night by happenstance... I think I'm going to remake all my suits using them again. It felt so good to be back to using my first true love (in chrome, it was just whatever AR or SMG I could fit on my Logi Suit).
I tend to aim more for getting Assists instead of kills. 30 or 40 assists is just a lot of fun. Especially if I'm walking my Heavy, tearing down shields so he can conserve ammo wrecking their armor is awesome.
Yep, going back to my CRD now, so long RR.

No rifles need a buff in any way. All are OP compared to other weapons. All of them (except the laser). |

The +20% bonus to shields BUT -20% to armor is what makes it suck. The Regular SCR RIFLE can get around this, with its charged shot. but hte ASCR cant, with Duvolle plus damage, it takes shields down insanley fast, but it fails to actually KILL something. Heavies and armored tankers specially. I've found myself looking entirely for Scouts and Cal Assault while using this piece of @$^@ of a weapon.
