They didn't announce January Events until 1/9. Look for something around then.
IIRC we get the Shinobi rewards on the 10th.

You know what I would like to see - maybe not in Feb but on April 1st instead..
All the proto-suit top boys (and girls) lose their suits and get knocked down to militia only - just for one day. All the players under 7m SP get proto suits with all the trimmings - maxed out skill trees for one day only... All kills/death records are suspended for a single day.
Now that would even up the matches and give newbies like me a taste of what real DUST power feels like!
Go on CCP... just one day to let the newbies feel like they own the joint - and then back to normal with no real permanent scars for the long timers!

Commando Event? Meh. No good for me, but I'm glad that the few commandos out there will have something to be happy about for once.

Wait, is this going to be like the Shinobi event? Killing as a commando/killing a commando.
If so, I can not approve. I've killed a few of those rare and mythical creatures by accident, and, I feel horrible afterwards. Their numbers have never been that high, killing more would/should be a crime. We need a commando preserve, where they can roam free without fear of death from suits with more slots, more ehp, better speed, and grenades.

Commandos aren't better then standard heavy at proto LV he's gonna be slower the advertised speed because one of your low slots will armor probably enhance he's pointless at the moment |

Even the commandos only use them on special occasions. The commando suit really is terrible. It offers you an extra light weapon but at the cost of pretty much everything else - and you get a huge hit box to go with it. Waste of isk. |

The "max out skill trees for(fixed amount of time)" thing actually sounds like fun!
Just keep it simple, and give it to everyone.
oh, also: would need to have wiped out fitting page though.
save originals, restore after event.
