av has alot more maneuverability than tanks to begin with and alot more terrain advantages at the same time.. tanks on dust cant plow over and run over massive structures on the map and completely destroy the environment. tanks r unable to enter into small entry ways. the only thing they can do when it comes to structures is shoot through openings like windows and pray some1 walks into the gun fire. and traverse the open areas with out risk of getting killed by some1 with a sniper rifle in the redline. but they still have to worry about getting sniped by a rail gun installation.

So, you are saying that it is completely balanced gameplay be able to do insane damage to EVERYTHING in-game, in a very efficient manner, while being immune to well over half of that game? Tanks should not get to be 100% effecient vs infantry and be immune to them at the same time. Thats why people HATE tanks.
(oh btw I have all of my sp into vehicles and use all tanks sans madruger very often)

The argument about tanks having disadvantages over drop suits is a specious one. A tank may not be able to hack an objective, but a tanker can. A tanker can run the exact drop suit I do and have every capability I do PLUS the power of the tank. |

IDK, I really think if a tank wants to brawl with infantry, it should have to fit a weapon that is in the same class as infantry, like a 20 GJ blaster.
The 80 GJ blaster should be anti-vehicle all the way.
Just like the meta in eve. Battleship blasters are great for hitting other battleships, but trying to small targets with such a large weapon just doesn't work effectively.
I also say let the tankers fit a 20 GJ blaster on their main turret if they want to be anti-infantry, or at least put on some small turrets and get some gunners. |

Why, it's perfectly fine that those continue to do ~2000 damage against armor before 1.7, while infantry had contact grenades lose their seeking ability, and damage nerfed to 400 or so. I just got WRECKED in a Python yesterday by Wyrkomi Swarms. The guys actually hid one guy near a structure, and when I went after him with my Hardener on, two others guys fired from out in the field and used the kinetic kick from the missiles to force me down onto the structure and kill me with the impact.
Needless to say, I was pretty damn impressed. I love going after AV who fight smart like that!

back in 1.6 and before vehicles were so easy to destroy. even an idiot could do it...
all some1 had to do was grab a mlt swarm launcher or forge gun some nano hives. and put them on some hill or tower. on top of a random building and they effectively owned the entire map over vehicles.
and now in 1.7. tank vs tank is balanced..
av took a little hit in damage but its needed and is most likely going to be tweaked later.
have i been in some matches where i found several enemy tanks to be roaming around yes... even though in those situations a lone aver isnt going to do much to that many vehicles at the same time...
in 1.6 a lone aver could easily kill all those vehicles no problem... something that i believe shouldnt have really happened.
currently in 1.7.. i know how to take on multiple tanks in a single match.. it could be done with a little av coordination or u could call down your own rail tank or missile tank and do it yourself...
the tanks them selves ive managed to solo with my unspeced adv swarms and std av nades. i actually havnt had much trouble combating them when solo.. the area still needs tweaking but thats about it for now..
on the topic of the large blaster turret and such.. i dont see much trouble with a big large turret targeting something that ISNT MOVING.
but that big large turret does seem to have trouble killing moving targets. using up to 20-50 rounds to kill a a moving dropsuit no matter the amounts of hp it has.
but the numbers much lower when the target isnt moving.
i dont have a problem when my tank gets blown to bits by a forge gun or av. i dont have a problem dieing to a rail gun installation.. i dont have a problem when i see several tanks on the enemy team..
i never had a problem with the lavs in the murder taxi era. mostly since i knew how to avoid that stuff when others got pancaked when in the middle of the road.
i specced into my core skills to make my cheap weak stuff slightly better.
im not crying over dieing to blaster turret because i stood still and looked down the barrel of the gun.
and im not certainly whining about the fact that some1 lost a proto suit by acting stupid.
tanks and stuff like that doesnt even cause 10% of my deaths. most of my deaths come from some random player in a full proto suit with 10x more hp than my suit. with 10x more firepower at the same time. all ive been doing is coming up with tactics to try out to help avoid those but it seems as if there's almost no avoiding the brainless pubstomper.

Thats why I suggested blasters should have high deviation radius so you could only hit effectively large targets such as other vehicles and turrets. Currently, I can easily get headshot points using blaster tank. I don't think that's fair.
Improve swarm damage, I don't know about forge guns and reduce efficiency of armor/shield hardeners. You also shouldn't be able to cycle through them. Also tanks are too cheap right now, they should cost more.
