I've read on several topics here on forums, as well as on some (unofficial) game guides that headshotted mercs cannot be revived by nanite injectors. However, I was just in a battle where I headshotted a redberry, and the redberry next to him revived him with an injector. Is this a bug, or is the "headshotted mercs can't be revived" just someone's wishful thinking that got accepted as fact?

Overwhelming damage or explosives prevent you from being triaged. I think it's simply the case that when you headshot someone you tend to come into the 'overwhelming damage' category.

Apparently there are cases where folks has been revived even after being headshotted. I think I might have witness this myself but I'm not sure. I need to find out for certain

I can confirm that head shots mercs will still give them the ability to revive... I've seen this happen many, many wonderful times because it gave me another chance to snipe the target down and the medic too. Oh the wonderful hate mails....

You can also unload a lot of ammo into the downed body to kill them off properly before they get revived (but don't, it's a waste of ammo, downing them and the medic once they get revived is faster). |

That's what I thought. I thought I seen it happen before but I'm not sure. I haven't watched the targets to see it play out. I usually kill the rushing reviver. I'll make sure to pay attention next time I play.

As far as I've seen a clone can be revived so long as there hasn't been too much damage to the corpse, headshots don't necessarily deal enough damage.
Explosions or excessive force seem to be exclusions to this, mass drivers, forge guns, and grenades will terminate bodies, but It's definitely possible to come back after a headshot, just not too many of them.

Apparently the clone inside has 200 HP, independent from shield/armor damage modifiers.
I've headshotted heavies that had like 709armor, obly to see them picked up.(charge sniper) I've also headshotted 3-4 people in a row, only to get gunned by a Cr amarr logi and watch him revive them all.
The only ones that don't allow this are Nova Knives(tried doing a Jihadi Scout in Fw...) and Explosives.

When you kill someone, put an extra two in the head. They will turn grey and become dust. If they have not turned grey, they can be revived. |

Did you know that headshotted mercs can swap to a Heavy suit, call in an LAV and run back to where you are behind the redline with a vehicle scanner up and then mutilate you from behind with an HMG?

We aren't exactly sure what the 'overwhelming damage' is, but it's why you cam revive mercs who have been downed multiple times. Until you recieve enough you can be revived.
Explosives is the only guaranteed method, which is one ofmthe reasons the MD was hated so much in 1.3.

Yes. If you die from a headshot, you can still be revived. This pisses me off because if I get them with the Pistol and he gets me with a combat rifle at the same time, a random logi will revive the other dude. |

This is what I wanted to ask. Is there a hidden HP value associated with the clone's body? (200 HP seems a bit high though).
This would also explain why it's possible to survive with zero health sometimes. Because damage needs to be done (after armour hits "0") on the clone HP to finish a kill.

Headshot's even with a sniper rifle do not terminate clones permanently. I've on more than one occasion downed even militia and standard suits with a charged shot to the head and they get picked right back up. Apart from this I double tap all kills unless
A) There are no enemies around and I can quickly snap to another target or..
B) I'm camping revive kills.
The only kills that take out clones in one go are explosive rounds (Forge, Rail Cannon, MD, grenades, etc.) even on tanks and dropship's blaster shots can be revived. The only ones i'm not sure of are the PLC and flaylock pistol.
