so can i get some feed back
is it posible
will i have to get at least adv for it to work
can i do it with 3/4 basic dampeners
has any1 else tried this ???

Except Focused Proto Scanners , which are fairly rare.
(you will need Lv5 ,because the extra passive 10% dampening is what helps you AVOID Proto scanners with 2 Cxprof damps on a med frame.)

Just beware there are always drawbacks when you make a suit do something it's not prepared for. When ninja'ing, you'll be slow and hard to relocate, meaning if you meet superior firepower to yours, you will be killed. If you're trying to assassinate an individual, unless they're camping then it's almost impossible. Your best bet would be being in a squad, with the rest of the squad focusing their firepower somewhere else, then you and your logi, and maybe another dampened heavy flank the team. Even then, I'm not certain on the efficiency. But I love the idea, and look forward to hearing how good it is!

Being in a squad is horrible stealth wise. Nothing screams "come and kill me" like six scouts running around in a pack.
Flank around objectives, don't use the front entrance and stay in the corners and shadows.

ok so i did some math
adv sentinel has a scan profile of 65.08 ( siplified to 65)
mlt dampener : - 15% to profile
basic scanner has scan precision of 46
& adv scaner has 36
(assuming there is no stacking penalties to dampeners
ok so 65x.15% = 9.75
9.75x3 (3 low on avd sentinel)
29.25
so 65 - 29.25 = 35.75
therfore my adv heavy should b able to dodge adv scanners
pleas be free to check my maths

i would love to know how it works exactly as well - my calculation was:
6% from dampening level 3 and 40% from 2 ADV dampening mods (without stacking penalties since i think to remember a Dev clarification about really no stacking penalties applying here) - and this on a 50DB Med-Frame = 50DB - 46% = 27DB
- what would mean that only the Duvolle Focused Scanner would still be able to pick your profile up - i tested this fitting for two days and ran into two guys per day that still managed to scan me, still i don't know exactly if my calculation was correct/ missed something... . |

We used to do this all the time as a squad...basically like 3-4 heavies all running with complex sprint mods and shotguns trolling people

I believe all % bonus (except skills) have stacking penalties, if you have 2+ of the same module type, which I think are:
1- 100%
2- 87%
3- 56%?
4- ???
So.....when are the um......new dropsuits coming out CCP.....it's been a few weeks now....

Everything in this game is a separate factor, nothing is added. And yes, dampeners DO have stacking penalties. Anything that increases/decreases something by a percent is subject to stacking penalties, even if it is not in the description.
So a Med Frame with lvl 3 dampening and 2 ADV mods math looks like this: 50*0.94*0.8*0.8262=31.065. |
