No prone.
Us Amarr don't like getting dirt and scuff marks on our GOLDEN suits!
Do you know just how easy this stuff scratches?!?
BLASPHEMY I TELL YOU!
Plus the minmatard filth would have an unfair advantage blending on with the dirt.

Prone just leads to people camping in corners or finding other ways to squeeze into places you aren't supposed to go.......

I think we should have the prone ability in DUST.
I dont know why but some games for some unknown reason dont include lying down. It has always baffled me. It is a total part of even every day life let alone something that almost every soldier probably does at some point in a real war zone.
I say bring it into dust though I will admit it would not be a high priority.
I just think it comes down to devs not wanting to balance the whole mechanic. BF4 has done a really good job with prone, its not like it used to be in old days where you can dive like a fish and keep firing the whole time.
Prone would be great. However I do have concerns about snipers. Already they can get to positions where literally you cannot see or hit them but they can hit you. Hell even when their head is sticking out half the time you shoot them and it does 0 damage.
Ahh yes this game has so many things wrong, so many bugs..... lets not go there right now.

CCP did say when releasing DUST514 that they wanted to immerse us in New Eden, when we're fighting of the battlefield, why not add these features in to improve immersion, because at the moment i don't feel any immersion from the game, it just feels arcade-ish... |

Amen to that, it feels almost cartoonish to me. Like a bad Duck Dodgers episode. |

Amen to that, it feels almost cartoonish to me. Like a bad Duck Dodgers episode. This entirely subjective of course, but i happen to like the arcade-y feel to dust. It reminds of the good old days of UT et al. where movement and target tracking were above all in individual engagements.
Todays games mostly reward fast reaction speeds and making yourself as small a target as possible because the second bullet to connect is likely to kill you.
With that said, more movement options are probably fine. I'm just getting...old.
