I guess its likely a very organized vent thread. It feels good to put everything that bothers me in one neat place.
As for the MAG comment, the only thing I think could give you that impression is my view of game modes, so I'm not really sure which part makes you think I want to turn Dust into MAG.

Add a better command structure? For a game like Dust that wants to be tactical there has to be a much better command structure like suggested here.

Great thread , I agree with almost everything you say. I think you forgot a section about maps and map design, which is what most independent reviews picked up on: too large, too empty. Giant sniper bowls and redline-fests... not to mention you can still fall through maps if you are (un)lucky. I guess you could even have a section on all the problems the redline induces... lack of player market too... and any kind of meaningful "economy"... bit depressing when you put it that way. :( |

Here are a couple from the dropship group.
- Supply Depots at hard to reach or impossible locations for most vehicles
- For dropships you basically have to land beside a supply depot to resupply
- RDVs are still the number one killer of dropships aka bad collision detection and damage.
- Camera angle and mobility still needs improvement.

I'll disagree on Isk payouts, they are not too low. There are variables we do not know that contribute to afk getting more isk for less work. They need to make the formula known for us to give any real feedback.
I'll add in information that current Db level, precision level, damage are not given to the player.
Most everything else I can agree with. |

Definitely worth keeping a thread tracking these issues active on the forums. Imo by rights a list like this should be owned and actively-maintained by CCP, and posted in conjunction with the also actively-maintained roadmap thread.
Agree with the vast bulk of what you have Kage, could add more to it ofc, naturally have a few quibbles but a valuable post all round.
As far as MAG goes loved it a lot, was great and could have been epic. But if I thought that was what DUST was working towards i would have been gone a long time ago.

Most everything else I can agree with. I know it has to do with the value of the stuff your team destroys, but from experience I think your cut of the ISK is based on our WP.

Most everything else I can agree with. Time Spent in battle is the bulk of it, then there's more ISK from the stuff destroyed in battle, which you get a share of based on your WP.
If you make 250k ISK (~2k WP) and die 5 times using a 20k standard suit, then you'll make150k profit. If you'd afk farm that match, you'd make at least 170k profit. |

There's really nothing for the NPE to cover except some concepts that people might not be familiar with. Two, atcually, and they're the skill system and the fitting system. That's about as much depth as DUST has right now. FW and PC are advanced areas of game play, true, but they still boil down to point and shoot. It's not like the EVE NPE covers FW or Sov Null.
