When I play this game I usually see the outcome vary, but ever since this accelerated SP week has started, the only thing I can think of is how are the hostiles going to win this time? I usually don't care if we lose, even repeatedly, but when I KNOW we'll lose, again, and again, and AGAIN....I'm just the sniper that just sits there to watch how they'll beat us this time...

CCP's visual stimuli has been down on some servers. This has been the case during some events in the past, and is due to the limited amount of RAM CCP has to work with.

It may help to get a militia LAV, and drive around in a logi suit, and place various uplinks of different types about 120 meters from various objectives. Would help your team a lot, and possibly change the tide of battles.

I know it's dirty.... bring out the militia tanks....
I have been winning far more than losing with this method so far... I really hope AV is fixed by 1.8 with the crazy awesome suits... |

Or could make things worse. If a drop uplink is placed in the wrong place, it becomes a camping spot for the opposing team to wipe out your entire clone reserve (Yes ,I am exaggerating, I know) Plus, not everyone has skills for drop uplinks or logi suits. Or vehicles.
When I play as a sniper, I'm more likely to be nearer to the opponents redline than my own.

Or vehicles. Why I suggested 120 meters away, so it would be out of the range of most scanners, and generally be harder to detect. If you don't have a logi, I suppose you could have like 2 or 3 fits, each with a different type of uplink, and you can switch between them to set different types of uplinks. If you don't have an uplink skill, I guess one militia uplink in a good spot can really help, maybe get your squad to do the same in different spots.
Sometimes you're just doomed to lose, but other times starting the battle correctly can at least give you a fighting chance.

I choose to play fair. Sure I camp, but that's the ONLY thing I do to make things uneven (Mainly because my points are based on kills ) As for these tanks....I'm seeing Ion and Particle cannons more often now, basically EVERY match I get into has become one sided so far <.<...But then again, maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself, usually the tension goes away when sunday comes around, then the people who still need to grind for SP can take over

Yeah, every time when I pull up the player list at the start of the battle in a pub and I see 6 Nyain San/Chan or just MilkMan1, multiple AE, and Imperfects. Also when I spawn in and I see a whole bunch of useless blueberries (which I am now on advice of my friend start calling Smurfs because they do nothing) drop from the MCC and stand on a cliff for 4 minutes before even moving while the enemy hacks two objectives during that time.
It's a trap! In this patch we can't repel firepower of that magnitude! - Admiral Ackbar would say in ambush w Nyain San

Or that one map you know you're not going to do well in. That Gallente research facility in Dom with the objective underground is the absolute worse. I always do bad on that map.
Put on your hardhat OP and go toe to toe with them. Every triple SP event is nothing more than smashmouth football.

Every time I go solo in Domination.
There is always 2 squads on the other team, so I just place 6 Uplinks in a "good" spot, sit back, and farm WP while I tear up these guys that really aren't good but win because they're in a squad with my 7k ISK suit.

Got an uplink onto the pipe in ashland. Do you think anyone would spawn up there? Nope. Another time- the instant I put an uplink down, a blueberry in a logi suit crash landed a dropship onto the building I was on and spammed uplinks around mine. Didn't get a single team spawn that battle.

You're defeated before the match even started? That's your fault. There's no better feeling in-game than hearing your team giving up early on because the other team got the hacks first in their coordinated Proto gear - and then grabbing a couple of blueberries and squeezing out a win.
Or, was this just a troll attempt to get "HTFU", "adapt or die", AND "git gud nub scrub" all in one thread? Well I, Sir, will not oblige you.

I don't go into matches expecting to win, honestly. Mind you, that doesn't mean I don't expect to try my goddamned best. I will murder, maim, assist, and help out everyone that I can in order to bring victory to my side. I will lay down suppressing fire, switch to my AA build and drive away tanks and ships. Hell, I'll even support. But I'm ultimately just one mercenary. And as a solo, there's only so much I can do. Particularly in the wake of big ol' corp groups that decide to duke out in FW or regular contracts for some reason. So if I can tip the scales? Great. But if we lost, and I'm still in the top four total of the match? I'm alright with that too.
Have you checked out my diary?

During SP acceleration events, you either stomp or be stomped.
It's always been that way.
Unfortunately, more than half of the time, I'm going against at least one squad of protos and my team is full of militia dudes who can't even capture their home objective. |

Meh, since the post in my SIG, more or less sums up who to look out for.
Tank spam has been particularly annoying the past couple days. Hell hire not even bothering to bring thier proto sit now, I saw a proto logi nyain in a militia blaater earlier, it made me wanna face palm.
Of course there were 5 other tanks and an ads so running my lil militia forge gunner was basicly like throwing ice cubes at the titanic.

Also, if your getting stormed without banks, crazy taxiing is fun. And can always do what I DL and sit n a corner surrounded by remote explosives waiting for the proto squad to come. God bless their proto flux scanners.

When I'm lone wolfing, I can usually tell whether or not my team is going to win based on the actions of the rest of my team mates in the opening minute or two of the match.
Also, unless your putting up 20+ kills a game with that sniper rifle you are part of the problem.

Sniper hater? xD I'm guessing a sniper don't have to put up kills to be useless assists as well as killing people near hacking will help. Don't blame us. |
