I only play this game because I heard it's the only MMO worse than DCUO. It's not. DUST could actually be a fairly good game. Unfortunately it never will be. The formula the devs are following is total garbage. Nerf this, buff that. Introduce something new that makes everything released before completely useless. Sell equipment for USD that's ahead of what players using ingame currency can get.

You see, this is how to make money from a game that they have to give away in order to get anyone to play it. Nobody that matters cares the game sucks. I can't imagine anyone in charge of DUST even plays it. It doesn't look like anyone who even likes gaming in general is in charge of this thing.

If it wasn't free, there would be no DUST 514.

This being said, I personally see no solution in sight to the fact that the genius dev team has made every weapon but the rail rifle irrelevant. Why even have any other weapons as an option at this point? We've used four accounts to create a dozen alts to try different combinations and the results aren't that surprising.

Snipers can hit 40 times in a match, do 5000+ damage and never get a kill, so sniper rifles need to go.

Mass drivers and plasma cannons are laughable. I've played 6-8 hrs a day for the last couple weeks and have never been killed by one. I have a commando alt with the MD but it's the only one I've seen in game. Sadly I can get more kills with militia Locus grenades than by direct hits with the MD. Having an AoE weapon with no AoE and very little direct damage is pointless. Have yet to see anyone with the PC. Since both are taking up space, wave goodbye to each.

The Combat and Rail rifle have made the Laser, Assault, and Scrambler rifles woefully out-gunned. So delete all of these as well.

There needs to be a cap on tanks in combat. 2 each for each side on the map at any time, for any game mode. This is only because the swarm launcher is so pathetic that you can't carry enough ammo to actually destroy a tank. Militia swarms should take out a militia tank in two shots. Since this will NEVER happen, swarms need to go.

And this is just for starters. Cancel the new equipment in 1.8. Delete almost everything that is currently offered until only what's used the most is left. Then add new stuff, on an even level with aforementioned over-used gear. Stop offering AUR items, or put them at the same SP value as the ISK variants.

I know that this will never happen, and there are now DUST fanboys vapor locking all over the globe because I dared say such things. Too bad, so sad. I can't wait for Star Citizen to come out.

I have been playing since Feb 2013, I've died to MDs about 8 times. NKs about 6.

Plus, all players who were part of the old matches with 20-40k SP rewards need to be locked into a 'veterans' tier where they can't fight anyone but other 'veterans'.

BIG DEAL I've been gaming for 30 years and know a **** game with a largely **** community when I see it.

DUST is just like EVE. The devs don't stop to fix anything, and won't, just like with EVE. They'll just keep stampeding along releasing more and more of the same broken crap.

Oh, btw, what's the average playerbase at any time? Has it -ever- broken 60k on?

COD is 60 bucks and there's hundreds of thousands on all the time.

CCP is apparently having problems even giving DUST away for free. I'm so sure they'll keep pouring money into a project where the only happy players are the proto bags in pub matches.
