If a merc picks you up in a fire fight multiple times just for there own selfish WP, I feel there should be some kind repercussion.

The inherent problem here, is that you shouldn't be forced to get up when someone needles you. CCP badly needs to implement an Accept/Reject option.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate

As Soraya said, the problem isn't them trying to pick you up. The problem is you HAVING to get up without the option whenever your needled. |

And how exactly does a dead clone decide to stay dead until further notice?

How do you know their motivations? Are they saving your team a clone or farming WP? If you want to die is it because your own selfish reasons, costing your team a clone to preserve your kdr? Shouldn't you be punished for that other than the other way around? |

They only get WP the first time they stick you. If they stick you a second time it's because they're trying to save you from having to buy a whole new suit. |

Or maybe a cortex bomb that goes off if you don't want to be revived? It's really not that hard, if you even need to justify it at all.
Anyway, punish is a bad idea. It will lead to all the logis everywhere being kicked after a few minutes of combat, because shitgiggles decide to punish at all times.
Edit: Actually, a cortex bomb would be a good idea. I want a suicide button. I recently got stuck in the environment as a heavy and only managed to escape because I had a forge gun and the splash was strong enough to reach me. |

This is one of those things where game mechanics needs to trump anything else. Drop uplink tech makes almost no sense in the scope of New Eden, but it's a game mechanic that's important. And I have faith in CCP's ability to write a really lame lore that explains it if they need to.

is this about the K/D? I think thats a small problem compared to the risks of malpractice implementing something like that |

A much less crazy, and more reasonable solution https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=111016&find=unread
KAGEHOSHI Horned Wolf wrote: Some people complain about being unable to decline revives, and understandably so; you could be just about to select your respawn location, and then suddenly get injected back to life right in the middle of a fire fight only to die again. Accept/deny options are needed for when being injected.
Medics also need to know that risking their lives to revive someone won't be for nothing simply because someone selected deny, so they must be rewarded regardless.
The option to accept/deny should not disappear until the bleedout timer hits 0. This way mercs in the bleedout state would be in control of if and when they want to revive instead of springing back up at an inconvenient time.
The injection should add 5 seconds to the bleedout timer to give the downed player time to decide to accept or deny the revive.
To prevent abuse by WP farmers, selecting the deny option should automatically bleed you out. If you have been injected and have selected neither accept or deny, then you should no longer be injectable. These are so a medic can't just keep injecting your dying body to get more and more WP.
I want.

Also there is no reason to have the game record a death when you are revived. Obviously it's just a kdr status thing, but that doesn't mean it's not annoying as heck. |

The clone isn't dead - it's dying, the nanites fix the damage present in dying clones but you can't be revived from explosives or headshots or after someone shoots the wounded clone. |

Or, don't reward players for reviving someone that goes down within 5 seconds, ya gotta make sure they stay alive if ya want the points.

Or... Just make the already available "request help" button mandatory. That way, well meaning Logis Won't have their time/suits wasted chasing phantom heals and dead clones won't have to be resurrected if they don't want to be. Solved. |
