I was thinking off-hand. It would have a damage absorb. So like after 2000 damage the shield drops.

It would change tactics and allow CQC to be more fun and less spray your weapon down the hallway and hope.

The other option is Main-hand with the ability to use your off-hand weapon at the same time. Shield and pistol. Jus for fun I am thinking about this - My concern would be Submachine gun and shield would be a nasty combination to run into in CQC.

You could also have two shield types large and small. small shield would be easier to carry and absorb 1000 damage before pop. I would like to try a small shield and a nova knife - very Viking like LOL

Would love to see some racial sword variants in the game.

Tried to go with ideas similar to the racial knives.

As far as shields are concerned sure why not maybe a bubble shield though as it has more use.
