I'm gonna get this out early
With the amount of stuff in 1.8 there's almost certainley gonna be a respec
but before you skill up to lvl 5 on that sexy caldari scout or prof 5 on that beautiful magsec smg (just because I like caldari gear doesn't mean I like the caldari :p)
Try the STD or MLT varients first
Silly old Draxus skilled up to prof 3 with the plasma cannon because it looked cool

Most people will study the stats with the skill of a brain surgen, then toss all their SP into what they think is OP, The plasma cannons stats of 1 round Mag and small blast probialy warded most people away before even skilling into lvl 1.
Of course there will always be RPers who skill into their fav races suits and weapons to feel like they are a loyalist. |

Hmmm interesting theory.... their giving us the sp boost so we have enough sp to dive into the suits we want when they become available.... kinda prefer this method, seeing as I know a lot of people will be dumping their points into rails and combat rifles. I wouldn't mind seeing their tears when their weapons are no longer the pew pew gods they currently are and they have no respecs

Only heavies and scouts should get respected.
Logo and assaults should remain the same. Anyone who cries over the different medium suits changes doesn't matter, as their just number crunchers. Their not playing the suit for its specific capabilities or role play, just its raw killing potential, which is fine, but undeserving a respec IMO.

I just want a Dev blog telling us when the date is and if we or if we are not getting a respec. I will be Pissed off since I am heavily skilled into the SMG, I want my SP back so I can skill into the MAG.

No, only the Active SP is five times, the weekly cap is only 3 times. |

what have they changed to warrant a respec? did they remove modules? are they rebuilding the skilltrees? something has to be removed for sp to be refunded. |

There is no true skill cap; only a limit before you start getting one sp point per wp. Now if that is 5x also then you would still be earning like a base of 3000 points after you reach the limit which pretty much means no limit! But does anyone know if that is how it works or is it still 1 for 1 after the limit is reached? |

I say when, because if we don't get one in 1.8, I will simply stop playing until 1.9, or 2.0, or whenever they do finally give one.
When we get a respec, I will assuredly be running a militia/aurum/LP sampler platter for a few weeks.
Besides that, considering how much is going to be released, there will almost certainly be a wave of buffs and nerfs afterward, so I'd rather wait for all that to smooth out before committing all my hard-earned SP.

What I bought with my skills will not be the same anymore. And thus I feel that I am deserving to have my investment returned. Let's say you buy a house, it is a beautiful house you pay the bills for it etc. Then HOA comes to your house without your consent and starts painting it a color you don't like and remodeling it to how you don't like. Yet you still have to pay for it... obviously this won't happen in real life but if it did chances are your going to sue the living crap out of HOA and get your money back!

Hey. I dont even NEED a full respec.Just a Dropsuit Command SP reset.
2 reasons:
GÖª ENOUGH has changed that can dramatically affect my and each players game play
GÖª''New'' options that were not available BEFORE 1.8 and SHOULD have been since Uprising came out, specially scouts,Commandos AND heavies had to go for specific races EVEN if not desired to play a certain way, and now NEED those SP in order to play as we intended in the first place,while not stack WASTED SP due to CCP's time frame to take them out.

You've gotten ahead of yourself. I never said we shouldn't get a respec. Hell I'd like one. What I said what we ARE getting five times the sp and CCP NEVER said that we were getting a respec. Yes I would like to cash in on some of those fittings that I skilled proto into and are now unuseable due to the all the QQ and nerfing. Yes I understand not everyone can be on frequently. Jobs family obligations and such. I however did not pick one week of five times sp. I simply stated that it is happening.
