Of course there will always be RPers who skill into their fav races suits and weapons to feel like they are a loyalist.

Now if that is 5x also then you would still be earning like a base of 3000 points after you reach the limit which pretty much means no limit! Yes I would like to cash in on some of those fittings that I skilled proto into and are now unuseable due to the all the QQ and nerfing. Yes I understand not everyone can be on frequently. The majority of players selected a particular race because of certain bonuses. Said bonuses (the, you know, reason I picked the fcking suit) ARE NOW COMPLETELY CHANGING. IF they change the motivations for choosing a certain suit, THEN I should be afforded the ability to reselect a suit based on the changes THEY made. It would kind of be like me buying my truck. I bought mine for the supercharger, it's fast. F150 Harley Davidson. It has a truck bed still, but it's not designed for towing. Then, tomorrow, in my driveway is an F-250 super duty with 4 wheel drive and a big towing hitch... It may still be a good truck. But it's not what I fcking paid for.

Atli mentioned a respec at EVE Vegas when asked about the inclusion of new dropsuits. He said the whole process is very disruptive for the studio and the community and they wanted to do it all in one foul swoop. This guy did get a refund for his BPO. Sorry for the ghetto copy/paste but the thread is locked and I'm on my phone so nothing fancy. I know other guys said they got refunds as well by opening a ticket after they had skilled into a different race and could no longer use racial BPOs.

As I have stated several times, I think a Dropsuit Command refund is all but confirmed. Dropsuit Command was changed heavily with so many additions that flat out change how you play the game. It isn't a new weapon or a new module. Having an entirely different suit means you play the game completely differently. To those that wanted to be Caldari Loyalists, is it reasonable for them to wait an entire year to use a Caldari Heavy Suit? I think the game is being shaken up so much that a refund is perfectly understandable. When it comes to Dropsuit Upgrades and Weaponry, there you have a much more interesting discussion. Dropsuit Command was changed, so refund makes sense. Of course, Upgrades and Weaponry weren't changed at all but by proxy they were. When it basically states "you Caldari Assaults use this weapon, period", it creates such a problem for those that cannot skill into it. In that aspect, I could be brought to believe that a refund for Weaponry makes sense. Dropsuit Upgrades less so. You could argue that going from Amarr Heavy to Caldari Heavy you need different Dropsuit Upgrades skills but they are useful no matter what. Maybe a refund there makes sense if the other two get one as well. For me, I don't really care. I got my refund when they drastically changed vehicles. I think for fairness infantry should get the same.

They likely went to extreme lengths to ensure that the racial Sentinels and Scouts (and Commandos) were to be introduced in the same update. I'm sure they could've introduced some of them (likely a few of the Sentinels) earlier if they really wanted to. However, they wanted to introduce them all in the same update so that they could give a respec without having to do another one the next update again. Coupled with a complete overhaul of the suit bonuses it's clear that CCP wants to do a respec for 1.8 (and then likely never again). Winner of the EU Squad Cup & the closed beta Tester's Tournament. I dont even NEED a full respec.Just a Dropsuit Command SP reset. 2 reasons: GÖª ENOUGH has changed that can dramatically affect my and each players game play GÖª''New'' options that were not available BEFORE 1.8 and SHOULD have been since Uprising came out, specially scouts,Commandos AND heavies had to go for specific races EVEN if not desired to play a certain way, and now NEED those SP in order to play as we intended in the first place,while not stack WASTED SP due to CCP's time frame to take them out. i'm not saying I wouldn't like a respec. I am saying that this isn't the kind of situation where ccp hands out replacement sp very often. I know. What IM saying is, ASK and you shall receive....... it's damaging to the game. not just the lore, but the community itself. a big part of eve online is that you never get those skillpoints back after you've trained them. it's the only thing that gives a young character the opportunity to out-skill an old character in specific situations.

If we earn our skill points through hard work(booster or not) people do deserve a chance to reallocate there sp to the correct weapons, core skills(for the fact that the bonus's to suits are changing), and suits(considering the new additions). A smart thing to do would allow a respec for the people who are getting impacted and in 1.8 Everyone is.
