action movies thrill.
rockets normally are used to add 'impact' right?
so is it just me or would swarms would be great if they had a terminal velocity about 4 x more than they have now? i know ive posted something similar before but the more i think about it the more great i think it would be.
right now, everything can outrun them, the only thing it is good for is knocking mercs on the head.
CCP have probably already corrected AV imbalance for future release, but i bet this gets missed.
if dropship pilots complain, give them countermeasures?

You obviously haven't flown much if you think swarms don't already cause a good amount of impact.

I think you'll find that most of us wouldn't oppose a speed increase, since as someone who uses an Afterburner-fit Python, Swarms are no threat whatsoever. I can tank anything below PRO, and if someone comes at me with those I just burn out till they run out of fuel, and then circle back and kill the guy using them.

I think what he's actually trying to advocate for is an increase in flight speed.

I like the idea but a even a mlt swarm can drop a drop ship if u hit the nose hell I lost 6ds to nose hit its weird but the ship just flips upside down to the point of no return lol before 1.7 a good sniper shot to the nose made you lose your balance |

I'm pretty sure he wants more knockback, which is crazy. More speed for swarms is something I've been asking for since 1.7. The damage itself honestly isn't that bad, maybe a little more on STD and ADV swarms, but the main issue is that swarms take too long to connect, and are primarily negated by afterburners.

Without after burners or nitro they will hit. With them they wont. Kind of the whole point of speed boost imho. |

The point of the speed boost is to get out of the hot zone quickly, not to entirely negate an AV weapon. Forges and rails can still hit you with your AB on, though it is much harder if you're a good pilot, but outrunning anti vehicle missiles is kind of silly.

you guessed right first time. more speed for the impact. and normal physics, not disproportionate knockback or anything like that. |

Maybe he means more of a visual knockback, camera shake, smoke and lighting effects. As well as that, maybe he means more physical knockback on vehicals other than dropships. When was the last time you saw a tank swerve when taking a volley to the side? |

so no-one thinks faster swarms are a bad idea?
i like the way they hang momentarily before accellerating, but should then whip up to just under supersonic.

that might be cool but i dont think we should ask too much from ccp, getting good basic mechanics would b good. the new ragdoll **** has made some good moments tho'!
