After some slight renovation and remodeling, a previously empty wing of the Summit had been bought up and reformatted to accommodate the war museum. The primary focus of this new attraction isn't so much for the mercenaries themselves, but more a public relations campaign aimed at romanticizing their role to the facility's many civilian families and their children. Admission varies by age group, but remains free to all veterans and active duty military personnel.
What originally began as a pet project has easily grown to become a new and exciting addition to the Summit complex. Thanks to private donations from an esteemed military collector and arms dealer there are enough artifacts to fill every room purchased from the previous owner. The collection is so vast in fact that the exhibits are constantly being swapped from cold storage in a distant Freedom Extension warehouse, to temporary appearances at State War Academies, and back to the main Yulai III Museum.
"Welcome!" greets a drone from a nearby kiosk, "We have a variety of exhibits on display today!"
These include:
Homeland
Collected artifacts from the retaking of Caldari Prime, including a partially destroyed CRU covered in civilian graffiti and parts salvaged from the wreck of the Shiigeru.
Future Warrior
Showcasing the next generation of weapons and equipment hitting the field, including the prototype "Dragonfly" series dropsuit and the "Raven" Assault Platform.
Airborne
Displays past generations of dropships leading up to the modern Python, Myron, and Incubus series. Features the wreckage of a downed member of the famous 'Condor Squadron' and concept art for the next generation of Amarr fighters.
Syndicate
Our more popular exhibit. Holds a mock armory containing racks of rare firearms, a virtual shooting range, and a machine shop where visitors can watch real combat engineers perform maintenance on various LAVs and MTACs.
Royals
The cabin of a Tash Murkon Magnate frigate, temporarily grounded and open for viewing. Sit where members of the esteemed Tash Murkon family once had!
Conquest
Artifacts recovered from the planetary conquest of the Molden Heath region. Includes recovered weapons, equipment, and personal effects of real mercenaries who fought and died during the first six weeks.
Templar
In our most recent and exciting attraction, we have completely recreated the armor and weapons wielded by the Thirteen original immortals during the battle of Pikes Landing. These truly beautiful and exquisite works of art are not to be missed.
Gift Shop
Immortal action figures, t-shirts, books, water bottles, ship models, and other assorted paraphernalia

The museum AI pulls up a series of images of the Battle of Pike's Landing, displaying the holograms around Ermac.
"It is unsure exactly how many Templars made planetfall at Pike's Landing, however numerous reports and intercepted Amarr communications make references to 'The Thirteen.' It is uncertain if The Thirteen was a reference to the amount of soldiers or if it was the number of their fighting division."

Galm flickers for a moment before Raven realizes that he is taking to a perfect hologram of Fae-haan being projected from a nearby terminal. A light, femenine voice plays from the terminal.
"Galm Fae, Eskola Ergonomics Head of Security, Chief Executive of The Eskola Private Intelligence Center, and military arms collector!"
The hologram begins to speak now in Galm's voice.
"Welcome to the Eskola War Museum and Memorial, Raven. I understand your doubt in the practicality of this facility, but I assure you that this is entirely to foster goodwill between mercenaries, civilians, and CONCORD officials. May I answer any more questions for you?"
The hologram operates on a "dumb" AI loaded with the profiles of most of the Summit's visiting mercenaries, built off the EPI-Center's own database. It's answers to questions are accurate, but limited.

"thanks for the information museum AI" says Ermac while he studys the pictures of the almost legendary battle that occured on the core freedom colony where the first templar troops had been send to retake the planet from the Valklear Army that posed as the main PDF of the planet. Ermac only heard rumors and snippets of what really happend there during his mortal days when he was still working for the security force of his homestation and still has not a clear image of what happend during these days. He only knows that this battle has changed a lot of things in new eden. He still asks himself what happend to the first templars but to be honest is that not his problem and people who dwell in the past always annoyed him especially himself. Ermac turns away from the pictures of destroyed buildings, burned Valklear soldiers and Paladins getting bombarded by republic ships towards the drone and asks: "Say museum AI that "shooting range" that you mentioned where can I find it?" |

"The shooting range is hosted on the ground floor in the vehicle depot as a part of the 'Syndicate' exhibit. While you are there be sure to see the rare weapons on display like the 'Toxin' weapon system."

Emerging from the 3rd floor hallway; Hawk-eye enters the 'Homeland' exhibit. The whole room and been carefully and painstakingly modelled to exactly emulate the harsh barren landscape of Caldari Prime. There are several scale walk-in buildings with plinths and display cases showcasing everything from the trademark uniforms and equipment used by Provist occupation and security forces to large fragments of hull plating and machine components, presumably salvaged from the Shiigeru's remains.
The walls and ceilings have been painted to give the impression of the Caldari Prime night sky, incredible attention to detail was given to this, and every wisp of cloud and every grain of dust looks in-place. At the back of the room is a mockup of the Kaalakiota mountain range; with the Shiigeru crash site clearly visible.
I remember the sky being filled with a lot more flaming debris than this He thinks to himself.

While Ermac makes his way towards the vehicle depot from which he can already hear the engineers work on the machinery in the distance, did he notice that many more people entered the building most of them either teenagers or young adults and in some places one or two adults with children he was splitted in this aspect. On one hand is it good to see so many people trying to understand a little more about his and the other mercenaries job and it's always nice that even in troubled times like these that parents still have the time to share with the family. On the other hand makes is it sad that it trys to romanticies the act of being trapped in war until you either give up and become the next protein slushy for some poor bastard who is either really hungry or wants to become a mercenary or capsuleer him- or herself or it could happen that the end of eternity comes which would be a faith much worse than death maybe....On another note does it seems that some fellow mercs seem to be mixed under the mass.
An amarr templar it seems who is glaring at one of the old templar armor models with something pressed in his hand , two gallentes, probably one of them is smashing a button on the elevator the other is asking the drone something he is not sure and then is there a minmatar who is also asking the drone something.
Now that is going to be funny if they also decide to go for the shooting range maybe it could get a little more interesting than showing a bunch of wannabe shooters how to proberly use a rail rifle if they even dare to come close that is. Ermac already had a hard time with his prothesis to not stick out like a sore wound but if they find out that he is a merc. If he is lucky are the visitors thinking that he is just some augmented brute or police officer which could make the situation not so complicated.
As he comes close to the "syndicate" exhibit which is filled not only with banners of the corporation , and is even colored in the offical colours of the corp, to show who is sponsoring this part of the museum is it the armory and the shooting range that are the main attraction here next to the corner that the engineers inhabit, that is fenced off from the rest of the exhibit by 3 walls two on the sides and one in the back, who are working extremly precise and slow on the LAV and M-TAC right now so that the museum visitors can observe the maintenance process in every detail. He stops next to the armory and sees that those are indeed merc weapons and no regular weaponry but still it's all fake even if the "Krin" AR, that he right now observes, looks extremly detailed. Still the best presented are the Toxic AR and SMG both are on a rotating podest, standing on the shoulder piece and crossed in each other, with a spotlight on them and a very exact description of how they work and who invented them and even more technical details. As much as this mock armory impresses him is it the shooting range that calls for him and he already sees some teenagers heading for it too but still just to not blame himself is he going to one of the cameras with which the AI sees and hears the visitors and asks:" Museum AI what kind of shooting range is this, is it a VR simulator to experience a fight as a merc or is it just a wall with holographic targets that you shoot with holo weapons?" |

Ermac sees the one Gallente who was asking the drone a question and finally recognises him as ravenwing but it takes some time to get over the fact that he looks like he is ready for war, trying to get back into the situation Ermac concentrates on the question and speaks a little louder duo to the engineers working right next to them:" Well it seems to be a promotion attempt to somehow make the mercs look like the future of ground warfare and make them have a better image in the public eye. Or if you mean this part of this museum this is the "syndicate" Exhibit which looks more like a gun show than something else you know trying to get the kids to like the guns so that they become future costumers or even mercs. But still that is not the most curious thing in the museum right now you know" he nods distcretly in the direction of some of the visitors who look at ravenwing as if he is going to grow a second head in a moment or two. |

"Horribly sorry for the wait sir!" she stammers in a sweet and truly apologetic voice, "Our facility is under heavy load today!"
The drone pretends that it is lifting a heavy box above it's head and laughs nervously.
"The shooting range varies in intensity from low-level target practice to high intensity combat simulations were you and your friends can face of in head to head combat. And please, for anyone with military experience, try to be a good sport for our younger members!"
The hologram drone tilts it's head and smiles. Obviously this one is meant to display more emotion that Galm's robot doppelganger.

He then turns to Raven who said something that made him a little confused and even some of the visitors backed away after they heard his answer:" Ehhh Raven did you just say that you are going to use your "real" Rail Rifle on a holographic shooting range with people on it that can get hurt if you pull the trigger? I mean you do know that the programs and hologram projectors are going produce a holo-weapon that you can use on the hologram targets right? I do know that some people never had the chance to train on one of those and still use the old methods of cardboard and steel targets that you shoot with real ammunition but even I had to train in a holo-simulation during my basic military training." |
