Can we finally remove their ability to hold light weapons? Considering how difficult it will be to bring them down in CQC being at a disadvantage in long range combat is the only way to keep them balanced.

Since only heavies are responding to this let me add that there will be other racial heavy weapons not just the HMG and forge.

Why can't I duct tape a nanohive to my back and have perma triage repps and constant ammo. Why is there a 6 vehicle limit? Why does a vehicle have to be brought in on an RDV but can teleport when its recalled? Why does being on fire not hurt vehicles?
Balance is far more important than logic in videogames.

Sure when I see a protoheavy i can switch weapons to counter that heavy but that means I have to be skilled into every weapon type which means I'm about 20mill SP away from that or I use a STD verison that perfectly counters him and he just laughs because he has close to 2000HP and out ranges me because he has a rail rifle and he can survive the RE I trap him with or he survive the 3 core locus I throw at him.

Or you run in a group where each member of the fire team has a different damage type do you don't have to skill into every weapon, this is a team based game afterall =) Sure thats fine for me because I'm in a 400+ member corp, but what about the guys who don't have that luxury?

Your MLT tank costs about the same as my ADV heavy suit, has several orders of magnitude more firepower and range than any heavy, even one using a rail rifle, and can resist 90% of all damage types close to 100% of the time. This is clearly imbalanced - tanks should only be able to equip nova knives for turrets since they resist so much damage. It's simply not fair they have all that range with their ability to take damage, so since heavies should be limited to 40m range weapon for AP, tanks with their much higher ability to take damage should be limited to melee. See how stupid that logic is? This thread is an idiotic QQ thread about how you want to be able to solo heavies in every situation no matter what, which is how heavies got gimped in the first place - baddies whining they couldn't solo everything with their AR. You STB kids should know about that, it's how your precious tanks got nerfed as well. So no thanks, I think I'll keep "trolling" right here. Protip: It's not trolling for me to demonstrate how dumb your logic is. LMAO I hate tanks and wish they were removed from ambush and I completely agree that MLT tanks are OP, my zero SP pure milita 70k tank can take out madrugars and gunnlogis, and as I said I bring it out to counter enemy tanks and I just jump out with Lai Dais for the kill. And as I stated earlier this isn't about tanks.

So no heavy will run that CCP should balance this game around proto PC players. Balancing this game around average players in pubs is a mistake, it should be balanced around competitive players all using proto with squad tactics being taken into account, Goodluck killing a 1000+ armor Proto heavy with 25% blast resistance and a minmatar logi 47m behind him with a rep tool doing 87.6 HP/s.
Maradur you should know as well as anyone I'm not just some QQing no talent scrub, I drop proto sentinels in CQC 1v1s with my Six kin CR all day, I'm looking at balance with these new racial bonus'.
