In an ambush match i just played earlier, the enemy team spammed tanks, and had a good dropship pilot.
The tankers more or less just pinned us down on the bridge where the supply depot was. you all know that spot.
the dropship however just mopped us up while we tried to not die. the dropshipper finished 25-0.
we were losing hard in this match, down about 25 clones (oms game)
i decided to pull out AV. Luckily a few teammates decided to pull out swarms. i destroyed 2 tanks on my own, assisted in one kill and destroyed the drop ship twice. and destroyed a different drop ship as well.
We came back and won by 9 clones.
The point of this story is, if there vehicles can't do anything. Then you can easily take out the opposition's infantry. No vehcile suppourt for them and to few infantry on the ground for them to have all their ground covered.

Ok now try to take on that DS driver and 6 tanks alone. LOL.As you said it, YOU GOT LUCKY = a few teammates pulled out swarms.as it is, getting in a game and be the only one trying to AV vs lots of enemy vehicles is very common. Specially in Amarr and cal FW...
it shouldnt have to be luck to take out vehicles. it was only to other guys with swarms, and they were hitting lav's or some dumb crap, only slightly helping with the big issue like the tanks
