He's never had to do that for a heavy and he'll be damned if he starts now. Ccp should fix this now!

A better solution might be to make it take time to get in and out of vehicles - this stops people doing this, jumping out of vehicles which are absolutely doomed in an instant, etc. Like rather than teleporting, you actually "jump" in the LAV? Difference now is that the hmg now has much less range and the LAV won't kill as many by running them down. Pretty sure the tactic would work just as well with any medium suit packing rifles. Don't care for the tactic, but can't fault guys for using the resources available to them. Would being proficient with a plasma cannon be a decent counter? Great job, team. I'll be honest, sometimes I need to get to an objective that ISN'T in a city and I refuse to waddle across open ground. So it's quite obvious that I am going to call in a LAV to haul my lard butt over there. I 99% of the time ignore infantry on my way to an objective and if you are at the letter when I get there... well sucks to be you. Thanks CCP for making the HMG Heavy viable again :3 That's no excuse though to slack off on releasing a heavy laser =.=

Actually increased spool up time would screw you even more in a CQC situation due to the larger retical means more area for the 2400 rpm bullet hose that is the HMG to hit.
