I have ~25 mil lifetime SP and I have it allocated EXACTLY the way I want it. A forced respec where I suddenly have 25 mil to reallocate would really **** me off because it would be inconvenient trying to make sure I put everything back in the correct places.

CCP promised a list of items to be added on the 5/14 release. Absolutely none of them were released, in fact the game has probably
degraded since then.

But some of us weren't lucky enough to have CCP magically start the game off with the suits, weapons, and vehicles that we happened to want.

They introduced vehicles only for the Caldari and Gallente with their turrets and rather unintentionally told the Amarr and Minmatar players to F**K O*F at the same time. They gave the Amarr the only Heavy Dropsuits in the game and similarly screwed over the other three races as a result.

I never said they didn't release all the racial ships when releasing content. I said they don't give respecs when new content comes. (I personally think CCP should give a respec when all the base racial content is released but not just for a new weapons or vehicle being released) Also thanks for being a dick for absolutely no reason. You'll have a very bad life if thats how you act when replying to people who weren't even trying to be dicks. Also I think you should look up verisimilitude because I am fairly certain that you're using that word wrong.

Oh and BTW the reason why CCP hasn't released any of the racial content until now (Racial rifles) is because the players of dust asked for them to fix their fking game after Uprising fked it up otherwise we probably would've had all the racial heavies and scouts by now ffs.

For a start, we need to complete our set of racially aligned gear (for example, finishing out the remaining dropsuits and weapons). This is important, not only for verisimilitude, but for gameplay balance. Yeah. Because swarm launchers will never ever be buffed again and tabks will stay the way they are. You would respec now and then you would want the next respec next month.

We are still beta because we still haven't finished the verisimilitude of the races. There are NO Amarr and Caldari vehicles, buildings, turrets, etc. There are no Heavy class suits except for Amar and only two types of Heavy Weapons: one for Caldari and one for Minmatar. There still is no sidearm for the Caldari or the Gallente. There are no Amarr or Caldari Light Suits. There are still only MCC's for the Caldari and Gallente (no Amarr or Minmatar). So you are wrong. Once they have these BARE MINIMUM things to make the game able to be fielded by any race, then I would agree with the rest of changes being additions to the game and "extra" content. But right now there is NO LEVEL PLAYING FIELD due to unbalance verisimilitude. So it's still technically BETA and respecs are warranted.

I *can* spec into anything except the things that I really want to. Things like a Minmatar Assault Dropship with Autocannons of Death. A Minmatar tank with an Artillery Cannon. A Minmatar Heavy to use that HMG. Until then, I am penalized by CCP and have to use crap that I hate. That is why respec is warranted.

Actually WOW is where the respec comes from! As that level 90 Warrior you have a choice of three types to play: DPS, Tank, or Other. All you have to do is pay for a respec in the game to do it. In this game we are ALL mercs and thus just respecing into different aspecs of that. The "other class" is to play EVE and be a pilot. That's why I started this thread:

Sp not used is SP being wasted and the longer you hold onto it the more it is wasted. If I did that then I would be of no use to my corp in PC matches, of no use to my faction in FW, and no use at all to the devs of this game when it comes to providing a challenge to other players and testing out how gameplay actually works!

I understand why they did the SKILLPOINT REFUND for vehicle users, but that was NOT a RESPEC! It was a REFUND! Everyone needs to be clear on that point!

As for the "annoncements" so you have time to save up SP idea, I did that for the CR and you know what I still didn't have enough time after maxing out my bonus SP each week and even using an OMEGA booster the whole time. I still fell 2 million SP short! So I can imagine with anything more costly like new vehicles and the like it will be even worse!

Your arguments fail because CCP failed to release things with any verisimilitude in this game. If they had released equivalent things for EVERY RACE at the same time, then I would agree with you as that is how it was done in EVE, but that's NOT what they did. Instead they gave the Caldari and Gallente players a HUGE advantage with vehicles and the Amarr an even bigger advantage with Heavy Suits!

No, you are wrong. You just don't understand the game. We are not in Beta anymore. Yeah, sure stuff is missing. But how will this continue? We will get the racial weapons, vehicles and dropsuites. Will we leave beta then in your opinion? But when we do then what about the hazard suites? The devs already said we will get suites for each type of planet which will give bonuses. Is the game then complete? But then again there are still new vehicles coming. MAVs will come. Do we leave beta then? But then there is the pilot suit which is currently missing. You just don't understand how Dust works. The game will NEVER be complete. There will be new content all the time. It doesn't matter if its all racial dropsuits or if vehicles. Content will be added as long as Dust will exist. You can't draw a line like that. The missing racial dropsuits and so on are just new items like all the other stuff that will be added in the future. And if you give people another respec now it will always be unfair to not give other people a respec when new stuff comes out in which they want to spec into. You are use skills which cost 1,2 million SP to max out to justify respecs. 2 million SP is something you get in 4 weeks. This is by far no reason for a respec at all.



Then save the SP. Nobody forces you to use them right now. You are just unpatient. You want to spec stuff now but you don't want to wait to get the racial suit you are waiting for now to level 5. You want to use SP now even though you KNOW there is stuff down the line you want more. And you can't be bothered to only spend SP when you have more than 2 million on your SP bank?

If you don't like it, then don't play. Simple as that. You act like you have to play it. Hint: You don't. CCP doesn't force you to play. You can simply wait until the stuff you want to use is in the game.



No. This is NOT the other class. The other class is being a tanker, a dropship pilot, a heavy, a scout, a logi. These are your "classes" so to speak. If you see merc as a class, then "hero" would be your class in WoW. But the class is the specilization.



Yeah. You want to use SP now on skills you will need sooner or later anyways, but you suddenly don't want them anymore when you see the opportunity to spec into a shiny new item. You want to benefit from spending SP now and then you think you are entitled to a respec. This is not how it works. You're just unpatient, spoiled and entitled. You want to spend everything on the spot and think everybody should give you what you demand. You want to benefit from these SP now until there is something you would like more.

Let me ask you something. if you want to play heavy now, then why would you skill into the CR? Why? THere is no reason. The SP you say are wasted when you don't spend them are also wasted when you spend them into something you won't use. I personally have at least 5 million SP "wasted" because I spend them into equipment I don't use all the time. Why would it hurt you to just save these up instead of spending them? When you use a suit there will always be skills which don't effect the suit you currently run. Basically all skills which aren't core skills fall under that category.

So the "You won't be useful" argument doesn't work here... at all.
