As for using the AR, don't really do it much. Only when I was being protostomped did I pull out the assault starter fit, and feel like I was part of the big boys too.
I normally run a mass driver or shotgun on a scout, so I know how it feels to be torn apart like tissue paper just trying to peak out around a corner.
With that frailty in mind, I say that the other rifles aren't over powered, they are just different, and I can tell you that they cut me down just as slow/fast as the AR or Scrambler ever did. I think that what you are seeing is really just diversification. There were only a limited number of options to go with before for the range or style of combat (i.e. AR, SCR, Snipe, SMG). Of these options, two had blatant faults that made them more situation. |
