Are proximity mines sticky?
If so you could put them on as auto anti theft devices... Or on the side and if you get close enough meep meep... LOLAV which only has to get close to destroy ya... Or park near where a HAV will round a corner and boom.
Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

It'd be sweet if remotes would kind of track to a vehicle when you tossed them so you could throw them from a reasonable distance instead of humping distance.

The old problem with proximity explosives is still there; They do not detonate fast enough.
After 1.7 I have seen 3 vehicles blown up by proxies. And they had all been damaged prior to that.
When laying down a mine field does not work even as a deterrent to tankers, something's wrong.

Someone tried to murder taxi me the other day. When he grazed me and hit a wall, I tossed an RE on his hood. When it detonated, the driver, passenger, and gunner died, but the LAV was intact. I hacked the LAV and drove down the road until I got blown up by a rail rifle. Dafuq?
Also, 1~3 REs planted on the back of a HAV should destroy it when the modules are down depending on tier, fit, and armor/shield tank.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I would like to see proxy explosions detonate any remote explosives in their blast range.

The tanks are to fast to plant more than 1or 2 RE on them. Only the most distracted/unaware tankers get all three. If prox triggered remotes, the proxies should just do RE damage. Other wise people would stack them anyway, and nothing would really be different. Maybe a variant where you only get 1, but it does massive damage. Perhaps it could be a timed one instead of remote. |

Mines are easy to avoid for HAVs because of the built-in detector, but LAVs are pretty much doomed if they are going full speed.
REs are quite good.
But... Kamikaze bomb-LAVs are f***ing effective! I lost 2 tanks to them since 1.7 and I saw friendly tanks going down as well. The second one was actually tragic because I noticed it right behind me, I activated my nitrous, but when I finally managed to turn my turret around, he was so damn close that I couldn't even shoot without blowing myself up!
At that point I did the only thing I could think of: I jumped out
