Nobody will admit the use these controllers. So we will never know if they work or not. I would like to try one on COD Zombies and see if I can get to the fabled 50th level. Highest ever 48

reminds of me MAG and how everybody thought ZBake was a good player.
that was until I was on the ground next to him bleeding out (you can control the camera that way) and saw his T1 sniper rifle firiing as fast as a Tamsen.
I've seen a video of where somebody created a program to play the PC game for him.
it had auto-lock and auto-shoot features, it could see people through walls, it turned enemy's red which is known as a skin-hack or camo-hack. combined with modded rate of fire.
I mean COD: GHOSTS was hacked DAY ONE on the PS3.
If you people think that NOBODY uses modded controllers on this game, you're wrong.
if you can compete, somebody will cheat! i just made that up. |

if you can compete, somebody will cheat! i just made that up. You can't hack Dust514 because the calculations are all done server side; those games where people could do those things have the calculations done client side, so you can alter the software to be able to make that stuff possible. As previously stated, you can't change Dust's game mechanics with any program or controller - you can only use a controller to take advantage of quick actions like rapid firing to negate dispersion or insta-crouch-shoot-stand to increase aim on the move.
People may well be using modded controllers in this game but not for the vast array of things that a lot of you seem to think.

From what I know, modded controllers cannot re-program or re-design a weapon. A modded controller will just allow you to fire at the maximum rate of fire programmed for that weapon. This is totally pointless on an automatic weapon, since the ROF is set in stone and you cannot exceed it by fast-tapping.
Modded controllers can also beat the recoil build-up, as they reset the input every time a round is fired. So it might be useful to kill the recoil on the AR, for example, since you are actually giving single inputs (750 per minutes) instead of a continued one and the recoil does not increase over time.
Modded controllers cannot overwrite algorithms to change the ROF cap on a weapon.

Ever wonder how someone can kill you faster than you can blink with a scrambler pistol, they have a mod that would fire all the rounds in one shot while the controller auto locks on to the target you are aiming at and cannot miss. They also have a mod that auto aims only on head shots no need to aim. You do know to make auto aim you would have to hack the ps3s software right? No modded controller no matter how good it is cannot aim for you. That is called hacks not a modded controller. |

I have and I have it skilled to proficiency lvl 3. I know what it sounds like, what it feels like, and I can tell when it is going faster than the rate of fire it was intended for.

Lol, I'm not the one wearing a tin foil hat.
Just skill Rail rifle up to lvl 4 and try the assault version and stop being an idiot.
PS: I use a rapid fire modded controller with a forge gun - see how ******* dumb that sounds? Rail rifle has a charge up time too. So nope, that controller ain't gonna work son.
PPs: If i modded controller was able to 'somehow' cope with the charge up time - that would turn the rail rifle into a single shot gun with .025s delay between each shot. |

How in the hell does a mod controller make a full-auto rifle, like the RR, fire faster than it than it's RoF ceiling. The vanilla version has a hard ceiling of 466 round per minute (which it already fires at) and the assault variant as a hard ceiling of 600. Can't get around the spool up and can't get around the RoF ceiling. So how the hell is a mod controller supposed to work here. I call bull****.

I don't know anything about that game they used as a demo, but I still don't see how they can beat the RoF hard cap in dust, with out hacking the game which isn't possible, because everything exists server side. You show me a video of it happening with weapons in dust and I might believe it.

You have not shown a thread of evidence that any modded controller can actually do the things you have stated in Dust514, which is a very different game to CoD or BF or most other shooters both in mechanics and architecture (mainly that it is a server side game).
Until you actually own one of these controllers and have concrete evidence (not just taking the word of the manufacturers) that your claims are possible, please stop scare-mongering.

everytime someone uses the word hack when something got modified or a loophole abused I laugh at the level of education... you obviously do not know what "hack" means. hacking does not exist in real life in the way people use the term, hacking is a term from business that came to the average scrub through movies. hacking simply means "quick code solution" in the world of programming.
again I repeat, hacking is not possible once a software is finished, hacking means you change the raw code of a software. please show me how you debug a complex software and change the raw code, I would really like to see that happen
modifing & abusing holes that are within a software is something completely different. and btw CoD was not "hacked", someone "clever" modified data game files through a HEX editor on his PC. this is neither magic nor hacking but happens when stuff is resolved client side and when programmers do a poor job.
and regarding those modded controllers, let me educate you, those are usually regular ps3 controllers with extra microchips soldered in between the circuit. those microchips contain software that were written on a computer and the software just emulates user input at higher speed than a regular human could press the buttons. a modded controller can only do what a regular controller does except FASTER. a controller will not magically aim for you and the controller wont break the bounderies withing a game. if a modded controller allows you to shoot faster than it was already possible before, just a human user input could not do it that fast. if a seller states that a controller will do aim for you, he is simply cheating his customers (the irony)
PS: "turbo" input does not work with the rail rifle. it has a spool up time and a fixed rate of fire. |

Hacking is a term used when someone uses a program to modify an existing program or infiltrate another system. The term is widely used and this shows your ignorance in the subject. The term hack is loosely used in a manner of subjects, when someone says they have been hacked they could mean a few things. Here is a few ways to say hack with out meaning the term of hacking or infiltration of a system. You a total f***** hack job. Hack the planet. So when someone says something has been hacked it means for some that the original idea or subject has been changed. Now can you please get off your I am trying to be smart and sounding like a dumb A** horse.

Turbo Controllers are simply a lazier way of achieving whaf can be done with a twitchy trigger finger!
Recoil mechanics in this game are terrible (no offense CCP, but it has to be said),
first off there is no recoil per shot, recoil doesn't kick in until about 15 rounds into a mag, and even then its not accurately modeled, it just goes straight up!
Secondly any movement from recoil can be reset when you stop firing, the barrell may move up a few feet getting through 59 rounds in a 60 round mag, but if you pause that last bullet hit the samebplace as the first!
finally with a modded controller or twitchy finger, its possible to do thid without suffering a loss of ROF , you can get recoil mechanics reset but the gun doesn't have to stop firing!
Thats a problem with all four rifles, fix that and the rifles will be balanced!

If you read the manual for the modded controller that IWS linked then it tells exactly what you are saying. Controller inputs are only a series of switch INPUTS, they don't change data in any way and are only allowed to do what the code allows them. I can program microprocessors at the bit level and they do nothing but change the input speeds. All they are is a faster way to push a button, series of buttons or a combination of buttons. They may cause glitches in game but they are only taking advantage of sloppy mechanics.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

A hacker is someone who loves to program or who enjoys playful cleverness, or a combination of the two.

Now can you please get off your I am trying to be smart and sounding like a dumb A** horse. you could have spared yourself from the shame that you brought upon yourself by using google to search for it first instead just showing exactly what I said, hacking used in that sense means you are scrub manipulated by media and dont know it better. maybe, if you had more IQ than a rock, you would even find a wiki article about "hackers"... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacker_%28programmer_subculture%29let me quote it for you: Quote:A hacker is an adherent of the subculture that originally emerged in academia in the 1960s
A hacker is someone who loves to program or who enjoys playful cleverness, or a combination of the two.
Hackers tend to emphatically differentiate themselves from what they pejoratively call "crackers"; those who are generally referred to by media and members of the general public using the term "hacker", and whose primary focus GÇö be it to malign or benevolent purposes GÇö lies in exploiting weaknesses in computer security. yeah, member of the general public, aka a scrub like you
Look I can argue with you all day, I know what a hack is and I am answering one right now. First off you have no idea by the way you use internet terms to define your means. I am not going to go any further. What I know I will keep to myself when it comes to the internet and all its doings. Better to remain silent and have everyone think your stupid than say something and prove them right, a wise man once said.
