Tanks aren't OP, it just seems that way to the idiots that run at them blazing away at the tank with a militia assault rifle
We have all seen this.
Like seriously though, I'm driving my tank and 3 guys run at me with mlt ARs acting like they are gonna kill my tank.
Honestly, tanks are fun now because AV is more like support now and tank vs tank battles are crazy fun.
2 things I would change are fix madrugar CPU (1 more slot than mlt and almost same CPU) and nerf rail guns.
Sitting in the hills with a sica is NOT tactical. It's simply being a swore looser. Don't encourage people to sit in the red line and ruin the game for others while not aiding their team. 300m rail gun range would solve a LOT. |

Rails are good where they are. i want them to get a splash radius buff.
Dont make the excuse of saying it's anti tank because that is what large missles are for

As a scout I'm normally hiding so tankers actually only effect me so much but..
0 SP tankers are broken though, and its an insult to real tankers who invested into it, that is my only issue that I take. The militia tank should have its stats dialed down majorly.

I hate getting killed by militia rail guns I got killed by one that did 9,500 damage in 5 shots or less, and don't get me started on the proto rails they do insane amount of damage my 3,975 shield 1,500 armor tank gets 2 shotted (without resists) and It is an anti armor weapon not anti shield. Installations do just as much in two similar situations I called in a tank at the beginning of a match and they got hit once on the way in I jumped in and tried to get out it's line of sight and the second one hit me both the installation and the proto rail did just under 7,000 damage that's 3,500 damage a shot.

SP sink is so big I already have 7.5-8.5 mil in tanks already and so much more upgrades to max with only 1.5mil unallocated.

I do this in my proto fit or sometime I'll just stand in front of a tank twirling like a ballerina. A lot of times it's just quicker to do that and spawn back in my AV fit than run all the way to the supply depot to switch fits.

I have 0 sp in tanks. I use the militia tanks as AV because it's the most effective.
When a tank with proto turrets and complex mods hits the field, I jihad tank using a sica with missile turret and REs strapped to it. Drive straight at the enemy std tank, hit shield hardeners before mach 1 collision. Initial crash will usually put them at an awkward rotation so retreat becomes an issue as tankers will position tanks in pre-retreat. Unload missiles as you hit and the splash damage of the missiles will detonate the explosives. Tried it once last night and worked pretty good. He even brought his shield hardener up at about half way, but as soon as the explosives and my tank popped he went down too. The fit is cheap when you use a bpo suit with explosives and mlt tank.
That what I love about this game is that whatever a patch or update does, this community finds inexpensive ways to counter it. It's ever evolving, changing eve and dust alike.

LOL! I laugh because you really believe this is the problem. Do tankers even think before they post? Why don't you try reading a few other threads before making your own topic.
Tanks ARE OP, proven by the multitude of noobs spamming them left and right. Not to mention the number of people quiting because the game isn't fun for anyone except tankers and those that run with tankers. But CCP can do whatever they want. They are the ones who ultimately pay the price. So go ahead and take your time CCP.

that CCP really botched when it comes to FPS balance. which now they are going back everytime with "oh..yeah.. this is a FPS game" and having to fix it.

On my tanker alt, every time I kill another tank they switch to rail tank.
They never come at me for another go EVER, this game is packed with nubs. If you are a tanker reading this, switch to rail tank immediately after you have blown them up, you will not be getting a second epic duel.

I sold my wife and kids to the Amarr for isk, its a valid tactic.
