Team killing has become a mess in faction warfare. I know there's a fix coming very soon to address the aggressive banning for accidental team kills. However, purposeful team killing is a bigger issue. Specifically, players should be allowed to defend themselves without fear of negative consequence. Blueberry starts shooting you? You're free to fire back and also kill them without losing points or counting towards friendly fire (blueberry gets a flashing yellow skull). Blueberry kills you or another teammate? They are now free game to anyone on your team for a limited time (blueberry gets a flashing red skull).
This could also make for more interesting team killing action. A blueberry runs alongside a few dudes, but then sprays everyone with a few bullets. In the sudden panic, they start spraying him with bullets, but he's jumping around and they miss and hit each other. Suddenly everyone has little grinning skulls. Ta da.

This needs to be in Public Contracts as well,twice tonight it has happened. I have been playing and keeping up and out of the way for over a month, trying to figure out how to use both thumbs. Half way through a battle and surviving and helping out now a team mate comes up and starts Melee or emptying their weapons on me. One of them even thought it would be nice to send me a message and suggested castration. Are some people that butt hurt that they was picked off and or head shot at 400 to 600m by a FPS Noob with only 100 hours on this game that they try to fight a avatar? In 15 years of GT1 -GT6 I have never seen this behavior, we even turned races into demo derbies to give the out skilled drivers a chance to win all in the name of the game.

This would a pretty bad idea cause imagine someone using a grenade or mass driver in CQC and then having half the team hunt you down, also this would take away from the focus on capturing the objectives in FW. Also what about when they do it on accident and didn't mean to shoot friendly, so now the person who was actually playing the game right gets punished because blueberries can't learn to walk behind the person firing a gun. Not to mention when blueberries purposely run infront of your line of fire just so they can get an easy kill, not be punished for it and are able to troll all day long... Yeah I'm going to stick with how it is now.

This leaves the problem that you can't defend yourself against Teamkills if you shoot back there is the risk of getting banned. So you only hope is to either get away or let him kill you and punish him hoping that he gets enough punishments to get bootet. And with the buggy revival thing its even possible to TK without fear of punishment. |

Ah but if you take away the fail ban then the guy jumping in front will have a squad plus an enemy team chasing them down and it turns into a regular day in new eden where the players enforce the fire team rules of don't shoot your neighbor unless he is trying to kill you.

More statistics for you :) last day I was killed (just for someones fun) 6 times in match by some team.. and they still in game... I depleted/removed 6 nanohives... and I got ban :)
So.. have a nice game CCP.

There are quite often perfectly legitimate reasons for removing spam links and spam hives too, such as killing lag fests to be able to move/strafe/shoot/kill. The ban should really go and the skull designation replace it. Welcome to Low Sec, never seen anyone banned from LS before.

Should be less. 150/10 = 15.
Assuming fairness, each player on a 16 man team should only die nine (9) times to clone out the team. I'd say kick them for 8 suicides. Still way more than one could honestly accomplish accidentally and it wouldn't have such a driving impact on the team as a whole.

Being I grew up as a Army brat and I am a Marine, behavior like this baffles me. Yes, I know it is a game, but the ignorant need to be dealt with, some of the calls would be a team decision to ban, Other rules would be CCP, Two pancakes and your done for the fight, dropped from 3 fights and your day is over. 10 FF deaths and your out a week if any previous bans have happened, excluding hit and crush, grenade and long range artillery fire. Battle intel is all there, CCP only gives a basic report to up. From trigger to impact: direction, distance and target are all recorded for payout.
