Also the 4 racial standard suit BPOs need to change.
Right now all 4 races get ARs. But now ammar should get scrambler, Minmatar should come with the Brust, and caldari with the Rail ...
They should let us respec the 4 light racial rifles, but only those skills
Also please rework the skill trees so each has different buffs please...

I feel your pain. I invested a lot of skill points in the AR, I have every skill at lvl 5 just for it to get nerfd to hell and ccp can't use it's a beta nothing is guaranteed answer to my request like they did before as it's not a beta now |

This is soooo still a beta. Once the content threshold of all announced racial suits are released and the skill tree adjusted then I believe it will be a real and full game and we should have a respec. But there should not be one for every new item that comes out.
After the content threshold is reached then a system that supports or denies respecs is debatable. Until then there is not debating on whether there should or shouldn't be a respec. But lets at least get to that point. |

Exactly. The beta was a whole lot of nothing, the real beta didn't really start until Uprising. We're still missing a lot of the core content (racial weapons, suits, vehicles) and they're going to be messing around with a lot of stuff like dropsuit bonuses and such. Once they get it all figured out and we finally leave beta (whether they want to call it that or not) a respec should be in order, but we don't need a million respecs in the meantime.

It was nerfed? I thought it shot a little further than in 1.6

When racial variant Rifles were confirmed, I wanted ust to get a respec of the Rifle trees. Nothing else, JUST those.
When Racial heavies come out, I want Heavy players to get a respec of their Amarr Heavy/Sentinel/Command suit SP for the same reason.
Many players - even people not dedicated to the assault role - skilled into ARs to a certain point simply to have the option of using some kind of Rifle without having to go Militia. When the Scrambler came out, we got it along with a massive update that also included a respec not long beforehand. A lot of players held onto the required SP to skill into the new weapon because they knew it would be what they wanted. We got a few who didn't wait, and just skilled up ARs then complained, but that was their choice and the information was given to them to make an informed decision.
So we have lots of players who have invested minimally - and many, MANY players with significant investment - into a weapon which is not the one they intended to use long-term.
I have a character specced as a Gallente Scout, but it's a Caldari character and I would prefer to have a Caldari Scout suit. With the absence of that option, I've been force to skill into the best alternative for my chosen playstyle. Gallente's bonus suited me better at the time, so I went with that suit. It's still not what I want to be skilled into, and I still hope for the option - when it happens - to re-allocate those points into the suit I actually intend them for. On the off chance of this option remaining unavailable when the racial suit variants show up, I've kept a "main" as a long-term investment with no SP wasted on expensive suits that I don't intend to use once there's an alternative. I have invested in Shotguns, because I suspect that in spite of the possibility of a short-range Caldari or Amarr weapon to compete with it, the Gallente weapon is probably going to remain a solid option in the long run. |

CCP I will even pay for a respec, 50K Aurum sounds about right. I want out of AV, heavies, snipers, and any other useless skill thanks to the recent upgrades and blatant ignoring of the certain racial suits, class's, and weapons.
A respec at the release of 1.8 would make a lot of people happy.

It got nerfed by way of comparison to the unconditional excellence that is the RR, CR, and SCR. The other three are quite balanced against each other, but the AR's low optimal means it's quite easy to outmaneuver AR users and weapon-efficiency them to death. |

You really should give a general respec not just one for rifle skills.
Think of those who skilled into LR or HMG or shotgun. Their entire gun has been marginalized by the rifles...at the very least they deserve to get out of them.

It's easier to use than the other weapons. No skill needed. The Rail Rifle you need to master controlling the kick, Scrambler Rifle you need to know how to manage the heat buildup and spam the trigger, and Combat Rifle you need to know how to conserve ammo and hit the trigger quicker.
