CCP, did you do something to perceived movement speed?
The numbers haven't changed but the movement is noticeably slower now than before.

We've not changed any base movement speeds. I will have a quick look in to this to make sure something else hasn't inadvertently had an impact on movement. |

a) I haven't changed my fits. b) I use speed mods.
EDIT: Thanks Wolfman! Yesterday was my first time playing after the patch. I spoke with couple of my friends and they said they have noticed it also. It cannot be mass delusional hysteria, right? :D

Dude i completely agree man. Movement speed does seem a lot slower. I have been having a lot of trouble going at my usual pace... I'm used to being slow with my logi but now I cant keep up with my assault buddies I'm repping

I haven't noticed a change in speed but I have noticed that none of my fits jump as high as they used to. Most of my fits used to be able to jump over railings no problem; now I think only my scout fits can do it but I haven't played with every fit since the patch yet.

If you use armor plates the penalty is now correct.
In 1.6 if you used more than one plate the movement penalty would work like a reverse stacking penaltiy. Each movement penalty would be reduced the more plates you had. In other words the effectiveness of the movement penalty would be reduced for each additional module...if that makes sense.
for instance, stacking 4 complex plates on a gallente scout in 1.6: 6.96 sprint speed. Try it in 1.7: 6.5ish sprint speed.
It's an additional balance for armor vs shields that makes stacking a ton of them not as worth it as it was in 1.6. Too many and you're as slow as a heavy. ______________________________________________________
Also, sometimes you glitch into the ground a bit and your sprint will feel slow. Crouch, then sprint again and it will return back to normal. This is new for 1.7

This is good info and might be part of the problem but I notice the problem even when using fits without any armor/reactive plates at all. I have my speed fits and they seem slower.

Could also have something to do with the high latency/low frame rate in FW/pubs now.
But trust me it's not only you. I've been feeling a lot slower in my minmatar suits too, even my shotgun suit with sprint mod/dampener/regulator is sluggish.

That makes sense, my tanked scout is no longer able to strafe as fast and avoid incoming fire as before, militia starter fits can strafe faster then me now, need to drop a few armor plates. My cheap untanked scout still have high speed. Could also be that they accidently changed the armor penalties back to the old values, just like they accidently added back the old female walk. |

I am pretty sure base sprint speed for the Gal/Cal logi was changed it feels slower and the number looks odd now, I am sure it was like 6.7 (number pulled out of air) it was to 1 decimal point anyway but now its to 2 points.
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.
