Not all of us have nothing better to do than to read the forums all day long.
I have invested real money here and expect to get my BPOs either returned (and functioning) or I expect to be able to pick other BPO modules of my choice which are of comparative or better value.
This sounds dangerously like a game creep effect where CCP will round robin the changes to modules to eliminate BPOs from those of us who took a risk and invested into this game as early adopters.

This is obviously a troll post. This can be scientifically proven.
1. Not all vehicle BPOs are being removed. Only four of them.
2. You paid AUR for those four militia BPO, not cash. You paid cash for AUR according to Sony's transaction records. You got AUR refunded to you by CCP. No problem here.
3. What evidence do you have besides assumptions that CCP will remove more BPOs from your inventory?

The four specific militia BPOs that are being removed from inventory were NEVER made available in any merc pack. They were only available via the in-game Dust market and purchasable only with AUR, not cash.
Now, if CCP were to remove something the 'Toxin' SMG, then that will be a different story.

You need to use the SEARCH function of the forums. You had an entire month to at least spend 1 measly hour of your life to read a few threads that already covered this.
But I'll be nice though. I'll show you a link to one such thread that explains it nicely.

Despite what you think or feel, you got back the AUR.
Again, you can't get any refund from Sony because Sony doesn't do refunds. Only store credit. And on top of that, Sony doesn't care what you intended to do with the AUR. To Sony, you spent money for AUR, not the four specific BPOs we are talking about here.

Removing the BPOs we got with Aurum is fair game, because we didn't pay CCP for the BPOs, we paid them for the Aurum.
That being said, I'm pretty sure I'm missing BPOs for items that still exist in the market. Most notably, the Heavy Shield Extender (I never did figure out why they only have Heavy and not Light as BPOs).
Also, BPOs were always the main use I had for AUR, and nothing else really appeals to me except for purposes of trying out new weapons that don't have MLT versions when I don't want to invest SP until I know I want it. If there are no BPOs on the market, that significantly reduces my incentive to buy Aurum in future. |

This is why I proposed earlier for CCP to introduce vanity items for AUR. That way, if you don't like boosters or the regular AUR consumables like the 'Neo' suits, then you would still have the option to pimp out your merc quarters.

Just to be clear, the four specific BPOs being removed were only available via the in-game market for AUR only, not cash. They were never available at all in the merc packs.
However, certain OTHER BPOs such as the 'Toxin' Assault Rifle BPO (just an example) were made available via merc packs only. If CCP were to remove those from your inventory, THEN you have a case against them because cash was directly used to purchase that BPO.

The problem though is CCP markets that we need to get BPOs before they are taken off the market. That advertising makes us purchase AUR.. Then the items are removed we do not have like items we can purchase again. So any customer would be pissed in this situation.
This isn't the first time the marketing department had done something like this.. They market the contacts grenades the week before having them reduced from 3 to 1 grenade. Then they refuse the refund any of the AUR you just spent. Troll post or no, This is a horrible way to treat your customers.

Those contact grenades were clearly game breaking. Even players who bought them were claiming that they should be nerfed because it practically just threatened to ruin the game experience for everyone else. CCP had to nerf them.
Besides, everyone accepted the EULA that states CCP is allowed to adjust anything in the game for exactly this reason.

My point was that they are slowly removing BPO's these were purchased with AURUM but we spend real money for AURUM. In EVE AURUM is just for cosmetic items. With the removal of BPO's from the W.A.R. packs it is just about the money now. I actually subscribe to EVE as well. Removing the BPO's and making people pay for AURUM items is just going to put people off from playing the game. I understand they need to make a profit or there will be no game but now I think they will loose players because the cost to play is creeping up yet content is getting less. It was just a toy moment but CCP have a habit of not listening to there players, fixing things that are not broken and making a mess of things. We need a test server. However I do like the combat rifles, and the LP store is great, would be nice to get ISK with factional warfare too. |

I see people still haven't grasped the concept that CCP's legal right to do something in the game does not prohibit us from objecting to it.
They sold aurum on the selling point of access to exclusive content. Now not only have they stopped selling that content, they've forcibly removed it from many players' inventories, refunding it with a currency now worthless to the people who wanted those BPOs.
If any of you wants to argue that this is an acceptable way of doing business, then you're broadcasting your permission for CCP to pull this kind of stunt in the future. Respect for the purchases we make is key to the value of Aurum, and thereby key to the game's ability to stay profitable.

As for being scammed by being encouraged to buy BPOs before they got removed - I bet you bought more than just those 4 BPOs and I bet you've used at least some of them and maybe even used those 4 BPOs before they disappeared too. So you didn't only buy aurum for the 4 BPOs that were removed and that aurum was never useless then or now. Also consider that though there may be nothing you want to spend aurum on currently, there will most certainly be more aurum only content in the future that you will want, whether it's skillback boosters, paint buckets or merc quarter decor.

It's worth a hell of a lot less when there are fewer things it can purchase, many of those things are no longer exclusive, and there is no guarantee on any purchase made with it.
These are the kind of problems that would ruin any currency.

Believe it or not, many in the New Eden community would see that as ok because of what you said: the item is game breaking and could hurt the overall enjoyment of the game. The contact grenades were prime examples. The goal of CCP was to avoid pay-to-win scenarios anyways.

One, you used real money to get AURUM to get those BPO's.
The other, you paid real money for the pack, and the BPO's came with them.

This isn't the first time the marketing department had done something like this.. They market the contacts grenades the week before having them reduced from 3 to 1 grenade. Then they refuse the refund any of the AUR you just spent. Troll post or no, This is a horrible way to treat your customers.
Ya man i got scammed good on that one. Bought a ton to sell later and they reduced the quantity which inturn reduced the value of what I thought I bought. All ccp and the ppl on forms did was spout out the eula terms and conditions BS. They are covered from top to bottom and can change whatever they wish! Cause even tho u bought it u dont own it. Shisters. Stocking up on anything with a view to selling it on in the future is entirely a risk on your part and it didn't pay off. If I buy stocks in gold and a year later the price of gold plummets, I lose money and there's nothing I can complain about because I chose to invest. Anyone could have seen how OP contact nades were and easily predicted that they would be nerfed somehow, so investing in something at it's obvious peak was a terrible idea bound to never pay off. So if they put KRINs on the market and it said u have a 60 round clip and u bought a bunch cause ya liked that weapon and didnt know how long they would be on the market for so ya stock up. A week later cause all the qq ing they turn ur clip into 20 rounds , thats OKAY with you? I highly doubt it . Believe it or not, many in the New Eden community would see that as ok because of what you said: the item is game breaking and could hurt the overall enjoyment of the game. The contact grenades were prime examples. The goal of CCP was to avoid pay-to-win scenarios anyways.

Ok I said it but that is not Cricket.
Yep they FORCED THEIR "Refund", the "Refund" on CCP's behalf was not based upon a mutual agreement between the client (you) and them (CCP).
Allow me to put it this way in a very simple term: You purchase a Shirt from a store, for personal reasons you wish a Refund. Now you usually have 3 Options: 1. Full Cash Refund - AUR was purchase with Real Money. 2. An Exchange, Give the item back for ANOTHER Item of similar value, 4x vehicle BPOs = 4800 AUR x 4 = 19200 AUR, BPOs on the Market place in Uprising were going for around 12000 - 19800 AURUM. Why not allow us to have another BPO like a Dropsuit or Weapons as a FAIR exchange based upon a Mutual Agreement CCP 3. A Voucher for use in store, therefore AUR in the case of CCP even this in any store would have to be based upon a Mutual agreement.
I even opened a Ticket to CCP since the 20th of November and they still haven't resolved this problem. If it isn't resolved I will no longer FUND/SUPPORT them and their ways of doing business. They appear to have a lack in Customer Services as in Customer Care. |

Can you please put that into better context? I don't understand what you're saying.
As far as I understand it after carefully analyzing the game, Sony, PSN, and the AUR items, I came to this conclusion: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=122605&find=unread
Now keep in mind that according to Sony's transaction records, you purchased AUR with real money. Sony doesn't, and never will, care about what you intend to do with that AUR. You then used that AUR to purchase the shirt. The store takes away your shirt but refunds you the AUR you paid it with so you can use it for something else. Since AUR was never taken from you, Sony won't give you a cash refund. In fact, Sony doesn't do cash refunds but rather PSN Store Credit.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

Your point fails due to the fact that they could consult with the Player/Supporter/PAYER to reach a MUTUAL Agreement, I realise this might be a bit far fetched for you or even a shock but in the "REAL WORLD" things work this way when you make a purchase. So basically explain to us all why CCP doesn't wish to EXCHANGE the BPOs removed for another BPO which still exists in GAME? Especially when the AUR was purchased just to get the said BPO which in turn were removed.
CCP can and could do this but why don't they? I smell scam take the money and run But in the real world try take someones cash like this and run, sooner or later you'll be pushing yourself in a wheel chair for the rest of your life when the right person which can ran faster than you catches your A$$.
Basically their "REFUND" (CCP) is FORCED Upon the Client at hand, it's NOT A MUTUAL AGREEMENT, they could have had more consideration , it's what you call in the "REAL WORLD" Customer Care. Yet they revoked/removed our rights of satisfaction on the product. There was no Agreement not even the "EULA - Dust 514" covers this aspect of poorly handling their consumers, it's a blatant lack of Customer Services and a slap in the face form Customer Care to the clients. It's not about the cash spent on the game, it's about the way CCP turn their backs on the very people which supported them by investing into their project. Therefore if my Support is no longer required , I personally have no problem whatsoever in investing elsewhere my hard earned cash and time.

Ok I said it but that is not Cricket. No problem here.3. What evidence do you have besides assumptions that CCP will remove more BPOs from your inventory?
Now you see this is where you are VERY WRONG, you see THEIR "REFUND" is FORCED upon the Client, we as in those which invested CA$H into DUST to support them, were not even taken into consideration. CCP did not wish to reach a MUTUAL AGREEMENT.

Maken Tosch , so would you say there was a problem with the contact nades as they were originally advertised on the market? If ur answer is "yes" then ccp should have given the option to buy back their defective product, left what we purchased and in our inventory "as is" or recalled all that they had sold . This is normal custom for any item that is found to be faulty or "broken" . CCP gave me no options , even after submiting a very polite trouble ticket. They told me to post my issue on forms. What kinda business practice is that to send ur custmers into this troll infested forum ? |
