This was the message that I just got during a Domination match a few minutes ago. I was in an intense firefight, then my hud started spazzing out and meshing all of the information on the screen together. Then I got this message

Sorry, I just made a thread on this. I didnt see that this one was here also.
To add some info -
The whole game played out smooth as a babies bum. It was at the end at the summary screen where the game decided to go to the black screen saying the infamous "A Fatal Error Has Occurred" malarkey.
I can think of no good reason why :-/ |

This happened to me twice last night!! I'm not sure if it's a co-incidence but I'd just previously created an Alt on my girlfriends PSN account (not an alt within my normal account) and been playing around with that. It'd be interesting to know if you guys also have alts on alternate PSN accounts.
I hope this gets fixed because I got thrown out of two consecutive FW games and I haven't played since and was thinking I might need to delete and re-install the game.

This has happened to me a half dozen times since 1.7 dropped. The most common time for it to occur is right after a match ends, in the first second or two of the after match stats loading.
The other time it seems to happen is just after spawning in.
Starting to get really annoying, since its costing us fits.

I get this error message once maybe twice a day. Usually when trying to load a Gallente FW. Almost always at the beginning of the match for me. |

Yeah nice bug, even nicer at the end of a match in which no deaths (for me) occurred. Dec 17-13 @ 0552 Eve Time.
Devs, it is nice when the game works properly, thank you for looking into this bug.

Just happened to me, too. AI Scotty has obviously become self-aware and is trying to take over the internets.
This was a rather old install, but I will now try a defrag on th ps3. Google it. "PS3 defrag YouTube" use the top hit. It's simple and helps speed things up anyway, but I don't know if it will help this problem. |

Same here and It causes my PS3 to reboot when I quit Dust. I also have the voice chat bug that I need to relog everytime to fix; could these problems be related? |

I have just got this same error again after not seeing it for about a week.
Just finished a skirmish game on a different character, yet before the end of match screen came up....
BLAM******* Black screen that reads...
"A fatal error occurred. The game cannot continue......"
Why has this problem reared its ugly head again? Any word from CCP?

I've had exactly the same experience. On different PSN accounts also, but the message always pops up as soon as the summary screen loads.
I support SP rollover.

It's still happening. CCP please get this fixed, playstations don't like it,
It fubars them.
No one wants to kill there ps3 playing your game so can you please get it fixed
And make a post about it when it's done so we know when to come back and play dust and not ruin our ps3 doing it ???
To me it always happens at the end of a game, it happened 6 times in all now,
2 times today. |

Won a match, the only one I played on 12/19.
Error message occurred at the Victory screen with the MCC exploding.
"A Fatal Error Occured. The Game cannot continue. Please Quit the game and restart the system.''
This is extremely hard on the system. Looking forward to a public announcement on a remedy.
This error only occurs with Dust 514.

Any more information you can offer as to what was happening leading up to the fatal error? I've never had this happen before, personally, but I'm interested in helping pin it down.
Also, Piercing, if you post up times/dates that the battles happen it helps CCP narrow down what was going on at the time

I was on Ashland Domination,
We won the match.
I had team voice off.
I was in two additional chat channels.
I restocked the Combat Rifle on one of my fittings.

I got a hard freeze yesterday right before a Dom ended. Lost a lot of ISK.
The fatal error tends to be right at the beginning of the match before you deploy.

Just happened twice in a row to me. I was runnin solo, queued a skirmish, got to the loading screen and it said that. Quit game and ps3 beeps 3 times and shuts off and restarts. Load back up, get into a game of skirm and about three mins in same thing happens. That can't be good on my console. |

Figured I would confirm that I am experiencing this fatal error more often now.
Just started running faction matches to see what it is about. to my dismay that is when I started getting fatal errors. It gets to be heartbreaking when you are near the top of the leader board with tons of wp's and an awesome K/D (admittedly not often for me  . ) I know I am not the only one and I am sure there are far more horror stories of potential epic loot lost.
Usually the Fatal errors would happen to me just as the match ends.
