I hopped into an ambush a little while ago to check things out and their were 7 tanked on the field!! Holy schitt...
For the next 3 ambushes same drill...derships and tanks all over the place. I saw an ADS camping a spawn point - a first for me.
I also noticed that the rail rifle is now my bestest friend forever. |

Al I gotta do is deploy with Boundless, F/45 and Remote explosives and sticky the tank from behind...

That reminds me of the situations i've been really close to a tank armed with REs. I killed a few plating the explosives on the ground right next to the tank but it should be exceedinlgy easier now that they stick. I guess tanks should pay attention and not let enemies get that close but at the same time they can't really shake off the explosives once they're planted.

Any tanker stupid enough to sit there and not hear the remotes arming deserves to die. 2 or 3 remotes before getting out of the blast radius....reasonable. But sitting there and letting them drop 10? If you get a kill like that, all you've managed to do is kill someone who fell asleep in his chair.

Will a Flux grenade set off my remote explosive. & If a Flux grenade will set off my remote explosive, will the Flux damage be applied to the tank before my Explosive damage? |

I never saw one of those tanks pop except when they were being taken out by other tanks.
I saw plenty of useless swarms firing and accomplishing nothing, and a few forge guns accomplishing nothing, but that's it.

I'm aquainted with the concept. I think you are underestimating how the level of team play between infantry and tankers is going to increase. Also, tanks can flat out accelerate and move in ways they couldn't before.
I think RE's will be more of a threat by placing them in ambush points and clacking them off after you lure the tank in. |

Until half assed AV'ers like myself start specializing in countering tanks, they're going to run amuck for quite a while I imagine.

Honestly I can only think of jeep full of explosives, forge guns, or tanks as reliable counters. |

Only in FW and PC
If you plant remotes on something then flux it, pretty sure the RE damage is applied against the shields, then the flux wipes out the remaining shield.
In PC/FW you can flux a turret and blow it up with two REs (planted after the flux), but if you plant the two REs then flux, the turret still stands.
You could theoretically plant REs on a shield tank then throw your fluxes so that the REs are outside the flux radius, and it'd probably work. |

I think the problem with traditional AV now (swarms/forge) is that it's too slow and weak, allowing the speedy tanks to roll off before you can kill them. Not to mention switching to these puts you at an anti-infantry disadvantage, allowing the tank to recall his vehicle and move in on foot against a weaker enemy.
The only reliable way to solo kill tanks are to either plant REs on their backs or spam AV grenades (preferably both). |

According to people's experience so far on the forums, which I take with a grain of salt for now, I'll be throwing out my proto AV swarmer and spending my respec SP on REs.

Yeah, not sure you can get much mileage out of the proto swarms.
Not that I'm complaining about the AV nerf, but I think the pre-nerfed AV damage would work well with tanks as they are now. Their speed and active hardeners make them far more survivable than before. |

Swarms are pretty useless offensively unless you chase down the tank in a LAV, or have two to three swarmers firing in sequence at a tank who got too close. Their lock on distance is now so low that tanks will roll out of your range and laugh at you from afar as their infantry mow you down.
Multiple guys with AV grenades, or soloing with REs, are the best ways to take down tanks. Luckily these methods have the least detrimental effect over your anti-infantry effectiveness.
Edited to add: You don't need proto REs. Level 1 is fine. Plant three REs, throw three EX-11 AVs, then detonate. I took out a Maddy this way even after he activated hardeners/reppers or whatever it is that makes them glow. |

Nope. The only way for an enemy to get them off would either be to shoot them (risky) or call a new tank and recall the old one. Not sure what happens to them if the vehicle is recalled. Maybe they float?
Naturally, if you deploy the REs elsewhere, they will disappear. |

Lol, currently in a pub match. My whole team is locked in one of those pyramid type warehouses as 5 tanks on the enemy team circle around like sharks.
For some reason the blueberries keep trying to call in vehilces too.
Personally, I'm resigned to our fate. A quick and bitter end. Probably a OB since we're all huddled together. |
