Did you say over team comms, "Frag out!" or some other similar warning? Did you try to take care that the area you intended for the grenade was clear of friendlies before throwing? Honestly, usage of area affect weapons (plasma cannon, mass driver, grenades, missiles, rockets, orbital strikes, etc.) will all now need to be carefully used in FW instead of carefree'ly used as they have been. No more firing downrange when a blue is in the line of fire, like so often happens in FPS matches. It's a whole new game now and that's why PC was always so difficult for people new to PC matches. Now they can at least have an environment that is near to what a PC is like and not get such a "rude awakening" when/if they ever make the switch.
This change also cuts down on grenade spamming and orbital spamming, two things that people were complaining about in the forums. Overall it's a good change and takes the game into a more tactical direction.

I was #1 in WP and kills when that happened, killing and reviving people left and right. The fact that this happened in the first ever match I played is concerning. At least it doesn't seem to be possible to go into negative standing, but waiting a whole days before I can try again is frustrating, especially after not being able to complete a match. And the booster I bought and activated is useless for the time being. Does anyone else have similar experiences? ur fault Learn you're spellings then you can comment.

smartlayer wrote:if you run in front of a tank or a vehicle i bet that if he damage or kill you that count as a kill and for your grief damage total ?
If you get TK does the grief get one kill and damage stacking or only the kill ?
if you TK 22 guy but nobody report you you Dont get kicked ? All TKs, whether reported or not, count towards your damage total. So do hits you land that DON'T kill the teammate you're firing at. If you manage to kill 22 guys while dealing less than 5000 points of damage, and none of them report you... well, good luck with that.
What I want to know is whether overkill damage counts. If a guy has literally 2HP left, and you hit him with a Forge Gun and deal over 1000 damage to his almost-corpse, will it count the 2 damage he had remaining, or the full force of the hit? |

However.... I also saw a nasty way of WP whoring...a guy was shooting other guys uplinks and putting his own down. I actually don't mind getting whacked by a mistake particular this early in the new system snd honestly I don't mind straight up griefing that much (after the fact) but that's just plain old dueche bag stuff. It's selfish and makes me wish we could have team kick vote or something like that.
Equipment counts against your damage total and averages around 400hp, so don't pop too many or you'll get kicked. |

Please make it a bit more strict. I'm getting tired of all these Blue berries walking right into my line of fire trying to steal a kill or just being blue dots. I have stopped touching grenades, stopped using MD in FW, cause they will just not learn. Friendly Fire has been a great addition. Props for that. We need it to be more strict, so that most of the players learn how to shoot and not just spray and pray. That OB penalty however is something to look at. |

So... dropped an orbital in FW just now, didn't hit anything, got one destroyed equipment and got kicked. Asked the Cap to check his killmail, didn't hit a damn thing. CCP mind telling me what the hell randomly takes 5000 points of damage that is not there!

I was kicked from my first FW match for blowing up a neutral, unhacked blaster installation. There were no blue chevrons nearby who could have been hacking it.
I've heard of people being kicked for causing damage to their own tank in collisions. The idea for the damage limit is good, but the implementation is still rough.
Damage to your own equipment must not count against the limit. Hackable, destructable elements need a short "friendly fire" immunity timer, or the friendly fire destruction limit needs to be raised above the value of any single asset.

At the same time, an enemy tank triggered my proximity mines; what may have happened is that the triggered mines damaged the unexploded ones, thus kicking me for FF. This is ridiculous.
Speaking of ridiculous; I saw tanks going faster than LAVs! I also saw tanks covering 75m doing a wheelie...

yeah couple guys on in my corp experienced same thing. either threw a nade at bunch of red dots and some over confident bluedot decides to run in with a scram rifle and kill em and gets the brunt of the nade, last night one th eguys had some mines down on the bridge map and a friendly tank just game barrelling in with some kinda hero complex, obv not looking where he was oging and just disintegrated when he drove through a field of 15 prox mines.
it is a bit disheartening when something isn't your fault and i think there are some wepaons that should perhaps be excempt from FF. mainly, nades andprox/remote explosives. basically the ones where you don't have much control over the outcome. if a bluedot comes upto a point and shoots your remotes by accident and blows himself up then its purely down to their stupidity yet you're punished for it.
i think FF is a great mechanic in FW but i think some adjustments need to be made... also perhaps being crushed by DS too. i had a bluedot jump too early and got crushed and i got a warning |
