But EVE is unique. There is nothing like it. So if you want to play it you have to play it as it is. DUST, on the other hand is one of dozens and dozens of FPS. So if you want to play one without griefing, you can take your pick. So maybe CCP isn't qualified to handle this? Munch

I think my personal issue is that the measures put in place to stop over griefing are allowing players to do exactly that.
Personally, I think this will come and go, like FW Awoxing.

Think of the numbers of new players created just for griefers and those who want revenge on them but won't risk their status on their main.

Eve is just like every other MMO pvp game. If you don't want to get griefed, run in a pack and cover each other's back. More often than not, griefers run solo, so the pick on easy kills. Even if they are running in a pack, you have the option to use teamwork to counter them.
This does not transfer to dust, or other fps for that matter. A griefer can not be countered with teamwork. A fps griefer tries to kill himself by using you as the method. Anything that has no counter, is simply game breaking.

i have SEVERAL counters to the above griefing methods
and no im not sharing them because i think it will be funnyer to watch everyone freeak the hell out.
that and i want to horde all the LP stuff for myself and those like me for when the player market opens up.
griefing in dust CAN be countered with teamwork, and solo :P
so your wrong, deal with it, think outside the box, adapt or die, HTFU, and so on and so forth.

if you find you have a blueberry, trying to jump on one of your grenades, switch up suit to something with AV grenades...
now when you toss a grenade at some reds, you get to giggle at a pointless suicide run into the other team :)
found a griefer?
try getting three other mercs to body block them into shooting you out of boredom! grief the griefers!
if you have a squad running: take turns to kill the griefer, you can only get booted for your own kills!
if you've read this far into the thread, you should already know that sending hate mail is foolish.
however, feel free to start a thread in the locker room sub forum (iirc) calling out all the griefers you discover, its always fun ruining someone deserving's day by having them become a priority target when ever they spawn into a match.
If you discover that they are in an active and populated player Corp.. feel free to spread the word that it is terribad, and dont forget to spam it corp letter box once a day :)

I never thought of this, lots of war points to be harvested when greiefers are plaguing the team. What happens to the griefer if I resurrect him quickly after he is killed? Will he have time to push the punish button or can we harvest allot of war points by repeatable killing and reviving the griefer until match is over and he looses the opportunity to ban anyone? |

My interest in FW dropped the second I heard there will be FF and no way of choosing your team. The last thing blueberries needed was another method to suck harder.
