Simple request, but would it be possible to begin the inevitable extended downtime earlier (say an hour earlier) which should give more of a chance for the update to be ready at the normal end of downtime?
For those that play in the Oceania region, this would allow us to log in, update and perhaps have a few battles (or at least check out all the new goodies) without ruining us for the following work day.
Please?

Well it's really the same to me, but instead of having the scheduled downtime everyday at the same time I'd suggest to have regular uptime of 23 hours and then 30 minute downtime. This in general would cause a slow rotation on the scheduled downtimes which in turn would be better. |

I would like for the downtime to be at the most convenient possible time for me, personally, regardless of how that works for the other few thousand players of this game across the globe. |

I understand the jab, but please feel free to point out which timezones or countries would be disadvantaged by dt starting an hour earlier.

I've still been unable to update my game as I can not even log in to PSN, after 2 hours of error codes I finally got a msg saying "PSN network is undergoing maintenance" so what a great day for CCP to roll out a 2.4 GB update....
If anyone else in the UK is unable to sign in like me I would imagine it is due to the same reason.
When the maintenance is finished I will still have the update to DL, I wonder if I'll get to play at any time to day at all.... |

well, I just managed to sign in to PSN and log in to the game but it has not updated itself, I can't find the new weapons in the market or on the skill tree and vehicle skills are the same, has this update been implemented or not??????? |

I was having trouble myself this morning at about 7AM Colorado time in the US. I got to get in eventually but I do understand the significant time delay as well between us. Time does move on though and even if we are at different time zones, time still ticks by at the same rate. maybe if you try again whenever you get a chance you should be ok? there could be a different branch in your area as well though. See what the UK side has to say if there is one, im not to sure how it functions internationally.

Its still the 9th in Europe right now.
Right now I think Sony is doing things with there network. In about 14 hours from now DUST will have its updates applied so give it 24 hours and things will start to return to normal. Hell I'm not even playing dust any more but I would still suggest you give it a day or so. |

For everyone not too familiar with the Eve/Dust relationship, Eve has Downtime at exactly the same time as Dust. Tranquility goes offline for maintenance and repairs based on when it is best for everyone at CCP to do repairs and maintenance and most likely there is a great reason based on staffing and timetable choices that have placed Downtime when it is. I am sorry this affects Oceania players poorly, there is nothing that would make the Downtime in an Ideal timezone that I can think of because it is in all reality 5pm Somewhere at any given time in a 24hr cycle.
