Thats like asking for a vote on the best PLC user. The equipment itself is so garbo its hard to tell because its next to impossible to do well if the enemy shoots back no matter who you are.

i petition for a thread rename to "whos the most popular" dropship pilot, as thats all this is actually measuring :P

This thread is about who is the most highly skilled pilot / best at flying the actual vehicle, in the publics opinion. All other credentials are invalid because its purely a public discussion / vote .

1 v 1 ADS fights typically boil down to who gets hit by enemy AV first, otherwise it's just a lot of floating around, shooting, disengaging, reengaging, shooting, back and forth with the occasional bumpity bump.

so its settled, popularity is being measured not skill :P

I would not agree. AV non-included, there have been many a Dropship fight that have resulted in one taking out the other. If you had to boil it down to pure skill / technique and natural ability on flying a dropship, who would you vote for?

No, in your singular, personal opinion, you believe Nova is the best pilot. He might not well be the most 'popular' pilot, it's just your personal opinion. I'm just looking for the general publics opinion.

Either you keep the thing up in the sky, or you don't, there aren't enough of us and I haven't played against enough in a balanced environment to have any hope of saying one way or the other. I don't think I've ever lost a plain 1v1 ADS fight, nor do I think I've won one, it's always one of us gets hit by AV and then dies, or neither dies and we just sky dance the match away. (unless I do the bumpity, that's the best way to kill shield DS, pop all resists and reps, then come down from above for the kill)

843 Bane or whatever his name is always gives me good matches and survives my Ishukone a lot, but I only remember him because his name has numbers

measuring best pilot and opinion are mutually exclusive, you can only measure one or the other, not both.

becuase your measuring opinion, naturally the one with the most votes is going to be the most popular not the most skilled, despite the title of teh thread.


when you measure opinion you get opinion as a result :P and skill isnt an opinion.

Well then sir, clearly you have not been in enough 1 vs 1 Assault Dropship fights, or rather should I say, 1 vs 1 Assault Dropship fights [i][without AV interference, because I for one, have been in plenty and have witness many../i]

Like I said, I haven't.

I see maybe 2 or 3 ADS a week that last more than a couple of minutes, of which I promptly destroy with my Ishukone, and every so often one will get away by playing the height ceiling or rolling with a full proto squad while I run around solo hunting them.

I want the general publics vote on who they think is the best / most skilled pilot. This is why I've posten on the forums. The most skilled pilot, in the publics eyes, will result in being the most popular. it works hand-in-hand.
