(pretty sure I saw a xX in the name) nova refuses to fly inside that city as it lags him out. it may have been me though as ive been flying around as novas wingman instead of gunner the last 2 weeks in preperation for 1.7 and i definatly DO do high speed dives through there.

I will lay claim to knowing how they work and having some facility for communicating that, but I'm terribly rusty at the stick after taking the last respec to go Logi. The Judge is extremely good at this too. There is the ability to fly maneuvers cleanly and quickly which exposes ou to the least enemy fire, and a knowledge of where to fly to avoid unwanted engagements. There is the ability to hold a rock steady hover for gunners while tracking targets and yawning to keep your gunners on target, and finally the ability to fly and shoot at the same time with the ADS. The biggest problem with any rating is that the dropship is still lacking a defining role. We use them primarily for their DPS, but that's not what they were meant for. I would love to see maps and game modes that cry out for dropships used for troop transport. I'm personally going to try using them to drop assault troops now that they don't fold up and fall from the sky as soon as a FG looks at them.

And every single time, every dropship pilot usually gets the same amount of KDR (around 10/0 or 12/2, etc) at the end. And now that dogfighting is pretty much null since 1.7, lets face it, there really isn't one best dropship pilot. Judge has a ton of votes because he has the ability to upload nice videos on youtube and also had a spotlight about him, but in all honesty, veteran dropship pilots are pretty much all on the same page.

Thank you for your observational skills. As much as I'd like to see the 'king of the skies' , I've seen many pilots who perform admirably when faced with the terrors from the ground. They all suffer from the same issues yet still persist throughout it all and stick to what they do best. This is really why I have made this thread, to find the pilots who have went through thick and thin, to bring the experienced veterans and the new, skilled pilots together, who I believe have suffered the worst, up until 1.7 with the new changes which have brought dropship users to level where they can perform to a great extent to change the battlefield.
