Thats like asking for a vote on the best PLC user. The equipment itself is so garbo its hard to tell because its next to impossible to do well if the enemy shoots back no matter who you are.

1 v 1 ADS fights typically boil down to who gets hit by enemy AV first, otherwise it's just a lot of floating around, shooting, disengaging, reengaging, shooting, back and forth with the occasional bumpity bump.

so its settled, popularity is being measured not skill :P

Either you keep the thing up in the sky, or you don't, there aren't enough of us and I haven't played against enough in a balanced environment to have any hope of saying one way or the other. I don't think I've ever lost a plain 1v1 ADS fight, nor do I think I've won one, it's always one of us gets hit by AV and then dies, or neither dies and we just sky dance the match away. (unless I do the bumpity, that's the best way to kill shield DS, pop all resists and reps, then come down from above for the kill)

843 Bane or whatever his name is always gives me good matches and survives my Ishukone a lot, but I only remember him because his name has numbers

measuring best pilot and opinion are mutually exclusive, you can only measure one or the other, not both.

becuase your measuring opinion, naturally the one with the most votes is going to be the most popular not the most skilled, despite the title of teh thread.

I see maybe 2 or 3 ADS a week that last more than a couple of minutes, of which I promptly destroy with my Ishukone, and every so often one will get away by playing the height ceiling or rolling with a full proto squad while I run around solo hunting them.

it may have been me though as ive been flying around as novas wingman instead of gunner the last 2 weeks in preperation for 1.7 and i definatly DO do high speed dives through there.

Oh well, when a Dropship vet goes silent for a few months because of the crappy state dropships have been in I guess pilots move on lol.

But to be frankly honest and blunt here, once you get to the skill level pilots like Eternal, Judge, Nguruthos IX, Sir Snugglz, Skihids, and many more pilots have, there really isn't a "best". Everyone once they have reached the top can all perform at a pretty useful level, believe me I have flown with pretty much every person I listed here (except for Judge which is weird, because i never see him on when i am). And every single time, every dropship pilot usually gets the same amount of KDR (around 10/0 or 12/2, etc) at the end. And now that dogfighting is pretty much null since 1.7, lets face it, there really isn't one best dropship pilot. Judge has a ton of votes because he has the ability to upload nice videos on youtube and also had a spotlight about him, but in all honesty, veteran dropship pilots are pretty much all on the same page.
