Will your plans for blueprints involve getting rid of them completely from Dust and giving them to EvE just for them to make all the dosh. Its what this post says https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1572476#post1572476 I know its from a random Dusty, but we have heard nothing but an ambiguous phrase saying something along the lines of "We are removing the trading of blueprint items as they are not functioning how we wish". That phrase could be open to debate on what you mean by it. |

In before EULA fanboys.
You would be wise to get an official stance from CCP before spending a dime on this game - for anything.
Rubbish about it's something you take up with the Sony store, CCP have nothing to do with it, you're getting AUR back blah blah in no way takes away that people took money out of their pockets to buy BPOs.
You have a lot to answer for.

Their actions so far, have expressed a sentiment to minimise the effect of BPOs as they currently are. This has been achieved by no longer selling them, and more importantly with the upcoming removal and failure to replace several vehicle module BPOs.
In short, CCP will do whatever they can get away with to reduce the value of your BPOs.

Treatment of people who spend money on the game is the health of the game. One thing I'll consistently say CCP handles well is customer service. If development and community management get together on this we can reach a healthy compromise. Going to miss my SVER and Exile if they remove BPOs altogether.

Nah. If anything, they could get BPC's from us through contracts (only way to get BPC's), which will make lots of ISK, or we could just sell the BPO to them and make lots. I will personally make BPC's and sell them if we can't make them ourselves, and use that ISK to make some friends, and buy an infinite supply of HAV's. Life would be sweet ^_^ |

Just had a random thought on BPOs: Why not just give them a set number of uses like BPCs, but instead of them going away, you have to wait for them to replenish weekly or something?

This is the truth.
I understand that some BPO's were bought with aurum and if removed, aurum is ok to return to me for those items. However, some of my BPO items were included in packs sold through the PSN store. I did not go in my wallet and give aurum, I paid real cash at point of sale, was promised a certain product and expect that product. I don't accept anything but said product.
Well that's between me and Sony?? Really??
So If I go to my local car dealership and buy an air conditioned Ford Focus, and then Ford decides they want the air conditioner back. then give me FORD BUCKS (I made them up to demonstrate) that are only spendable in their factory store for Ford Focus accessories that I personally don't want. So they tell me "To bad so sad" go try and get the price of the air conditioner option back from the dealer. Guess who'd never get a cent of my money again?

Stealth Godwin detected? +1 Those who forget history are destined to repeat it. You do realize that invoking a Godwin is generally considered to be the instant death of whatever your argument was, right?
I also do find this particular comparison somewhat "off". To put it nicely...

Treatment of people who spend money on the game is the health of the game. If it breaks the game, it needs to GTFO. They wouldn't do it if there wasn't a good reason. CCP has two economists watching EVE's and Dust's economy, I think they know what they're doing.

How adorably naive. Please don't ever become a journalist. What kind of impact is an extra 300isk per fitting going to have on the economy when a weapon can cost nearly 80,000?
CCP's number one concern is making money, making a better game second. If reducing the quality of the game makes them more profit, there's no way they won't go through with it. Apologists like you just make it easier for them to screw us.

You can spend Aurum on more things than just BPOs. And if you're going to spend Aurum on BPOs because you want fits with unlimited uses then just don't. Because the devs clearly stated that they will either remove them completely or change the way they work. |

What an enlightened position. I wonder why people didn't think of that before CCP expressed any intention of removing them
What worth is aurum if you can't buy what you want with it, and even if you can, it could be taken from you at any point?

If by that you mean they know what to do to push people into buying Disposable AUR items then you are right Cat Merc. After the Eve Online communities reaction towards Pay-to-win I'm surprised to see AUR on the battlefield outside boosters in Dust.
If BPOs need to go then so do all AUR modules, vehicles, and weapons.
