What an enlightened position. I wonder why people didn't think of that before CCP expressed any intention of removing them 
What worth is aurum if you can't buy what you want with it, and even if you can, it could be taken from you at any point?

If by that you mean they know what to do to push people into buying Disposable AUR items then you are right Cat Merc. After the Eve Online communities reaction towards Pay-to-win I'm surprised to see AUR on the battlefield outside boosters in Dust.
If BPOs need to go then so do all AUR modules, vehicles, and weapons.
