If you armor tank and find yourself dying a ton by the combat rifle, please don't complain about it being OP. It does 20% more damage to armor than an AR and 30% more damage to armor than the scrambler.
Just keep that in mind before you post on here about how OP the combat rifle is just because 90% of your health is armor.

Thank you for posting a logical pre-emptive thread to all the armor tankers whining like little girls.
Maybe people will stop bitching about the "shield nerf" being unnecessary now that we'll have weapons against both tank types.

Step 1: Flux the triage hives and any shields they may have.
Step 2: Apply a liberal dose of projectile and explosive weaponry.
Step 3: Rinse and repeat.

Enjoy the depleted shield regen penalty while my CR burns you down. Hopefully the new rifles bring the shield v armor tank pendulum back to the middle and are the reason for the shield nerf. |

Keep forgetting they fixed that about explosives. Shoulda bolded it in the patch notes.

Another one of these "prediction" threads. Shield users complain aswell that massdrivers do to much damage against them. And last ime ive checked the devs say that they do 20% less damage against shields.

Actually, they said that explosives were 'bugged into doing more damage than intended.' When I look at something with armor, it says 135%, so I assume that shields probably got 95%. With the patch fixing this bug, it'll go down to 120% and 80%... so shieldy guys are/were right, and so are you and the DEVs or at least you will be.

When compared to the AR it's a 20% increase in damage - so he's right, sort of ;) |

No, I'm wrong, was going off the old parameters and assuming they hadn't fixed the explosives. Though you aren't wrong DJ :p
That said, everyone is STILL forgetting about the Rail Rifle. I myself will be using the Combat Rifle, so I'm not even exempt :3

I armor tank, an i will say that the Combat Rifle is OP. Not because of it armor bonus however, but because it is balanced against the AR.
