I think so. You have a limited window when your modules are up. You need to punch as hard as you can in that window if you plan on asualting rather than doing a transport drop. If i drop damage down a bit more then also only take the ADS to level 1... The best deal I can do you is 5, 596, 500 Skill points, It's not great but she runs, it's round back though. Not one I keep in the showroom. That's my lowest offer mate.

I have over 20 mill SP (was a top SP guy before I moved out of internet :O) so heres hoping passive SP has helped me out... since I focuse on 1 race of dropships and dropships is all I do I feel happy though. |

I've done multiple fits with this: Two complex hardeners and either a basic heavy shield extender or a complex light booster. EHP of 6-4k with one hardener on ( 48 sec on, 36 off, but core skill brings it to 1min on, 15sec off), or 12-10k with both on (24 on, 60 off w/o skills), respectively. If you want an AB, you can put on an Enhanced heavy shield extender and a complex booster with a complex AB. (3.5k EHP + booster). All these with a proto missile launcher. What fits did you have in mind? Where did you pull those numbers from? The vehicle DEV blog Module Changes.
I will be stacking 2 complex hardeners. WIth out the skill bonuses, the duration time is 24sec and the recharge is 60sec. By staggering them, I get 48sec on and because one of the modules is recharging while the other is on, the time I'm with out a hardener is cut to 36sec (I was pulling numbers out from memory there, these are the correct numbers).
With lvl5 in both duration and recharge time, the duration is extended to 30sec on and a 45 sec cool down for each, granting me 1min of resistance with a 15sec cool down in between.

Not sure if you gonna try to get both variants, but im down to experiment with python so you can focus on incubus. Then we can really test both babies out when it comes to maxed trees. I have 1.3 Mil SP in reserve plus whatever I get back from vehicle respec. All that going into my python. Worst case i'll go back to afking if i dont like 1.7. lol |

Actually I figured out that to get just some essential gear, like your DS your armor/shield modules, your turret, and maybe some playground gear is around 2 mill however that is ignoring any skills that don't unlock something. They got rid of + max PG/CPU skills and broke it up by module as a way of jipping you out, kind of like getting in-store credit as a refund.
The gear I estimated at adv and I figured in a lot of SP Wiggle room just to be conservative. |

This is a good place to start :
Vehicle Command lvl 3 Dropship Command lvl 3 Caldari ADS lvl 1 Assault DS- 1
Turret Operation lvl 1 Small Turret Operation lvl 5 Small Missile Operation lelv 3 at least
Vehicle Upgrades lvl 3 Shield Upgrades- lvl 5 Shield Fitting Optimization about lvl 4 Core Upgrades to lvl 5
THen straight to max the skills to boost your active module run time and recharge. This is a good start. After getting to this base I would make sue you have the PG skills to equip the best shield mods and also up your Missile damage. Avoid the skills to boost amo count (base is 67 i think) and reload times. Those can wait till we have seen the real effects in battle.

How much SP will I have left over? lol. We'll find out tmro night. I have 2 finals tmro so I wont play with 1.7 until super late. keep me posted on how things go.

Plenty. My post is about, from memory, 6 million. You can then up you ADS level or look at getting some armour mods. I would not max a caldari. THe gallente looks better for fitting scanners etc.. so going a bit into both gives more flexibility. I will stream live to my youtube tomorrow from reset if you want to watch me try to sort it out.
My advice is to do as above then play a few rounds and add skills where you feel there are gaps in your ships ability.

Best thing about dropships is you can get a lot of mileage out of them if you yourself have skill. You really don't need max skills at all, just the ones needed to fit the modules you need. Gives me something to grind out I guess.
