read somewhere that the Dev team are further along with the Scout variants than the Heavy racials. so don't hold your breath for 1.8 to make the situation better for us. when they do come i hope to have about 2M SP in reserve to invest, id suggest others do the same to maximize the day 1 effect when they drop. |

We cannot prioritize one role over the other. That creates a tension between the two communities.
We want to make heavies and scouts friends with each other. What we don't want is creating a relationship similar to the HAV/AV communities.
Both classes need to be fixed. And both classes should be fixed at the same time. Scouts deserve no more love than the Heavy does.
(To be fair though, they both need lots of love)

Logi is as fast as a Caldari assault and the assault is almost as fast as a scout. It's going to have the lowest HP ceiling compared to other heavies, but it's going to be able to close in on a medium frame like Albert Haynsworth closing in on a rack of BBQ ribs. This is probably the reason why the HMG took such a range hit. CCP seems to like balancing for stuff still on the drawing board.

These are the potential stats of the missing heavies (courtesy of math and logi bro).
The Minmatar Heavy may be:
400 Shields 360 Armor 4.0 Movement Speed 5.6 Run Speed 110 Stamina 12.5 /s Stamina Regen.
Which, if the math is anywhere in the realm of accurate, the Minmatar heavy will be beastly. Especially if they get a bonus to the HMG (provided the HMG gets fixed). |

You're thinking of the old Amarr Heavy HP amounts, Cosgar. The numbers he posted are definitely a "sufficient lack of base HP" compared to the current suit.
ED: Also, 1.8 will give us new Scout suits, almost positive. CCP said they were pretty far along. I'll offer a gentleman's wager of 100 ISK that we won't see a damn thing for Heavy in the patch, though.

I think Caldari heavy will be mean. It's gonna be fast and alot of shields it will be hard to kill it especially if he runs shield regulators, the true hit and run heavy.
