No one can stop someone to create new alt everyday, an entrance barrier is needed.
Same thing for friendly blue, they are unaware, totally unaware of what happen around them, make them play public contracts till they understand the basics, like that they have to hack things or move to objectives if they want to win a match. Are you serious Public Contracts ?! Public Contracts are pretty much protostomping 24/7. FW is the only way to escape it in some way. We need new type of contracts just for noobs. Or "tier" based ones with better/lower rewards.
I agree with you, have played allot of FW contracts lately and the difference is huge in the amount of protostomping going on. It would be bad forcing new players to only play pub matches unless the proto teams all decided to play FW contracts after 1.7.
Have been running in just standard equipment and I have been able to compete on equal terms in most FW matches unlike pub matches where advanced and proto equipment are more common.
Keep the option open to let new players be able to switch gamemode when one type is frequented by a proto squad repeatable. There is too few players at the moment and you often end up against the same players over and over if you stay in the same gametype. Not as common in FW where I seem to meet players from all over the globe and not fixed to my own regional server.
I do not believe the grieving will be that bad, there is always some jerks, no mater what you do, they will find a way to grief, it is in their nature, an unstoppable and mysterious force driving them to troll others at all cost. Even it if inefficient, even if they could have profited by spending the time more productive. They grief academy players today, they grief pub matches and they will continue to grief FW matches. At least it will require more work to manage all their alts to grief FW matches repeatable.
Team deployment could be the perfect solution and encourage more to join corporations for the benefit of avoiding griefers in FW matches. |

Your points are valid, but you still have 3 game mode, basically FW is a skirmish and you have much more probability to be stomped by stacked squads in FW than in a public contract. The absence of PVE is another key factor, we should have a PVE coop, to take a break. A entrance barrier is needed, because if till now FW has been a good place to escape and have some relaxed match (sometime), from 1.7 it will not be anymore.
I agree that PVE is desperately needed in-game asap. If there is a limit to joining FW, and the only other option is to join a protostomp in Pub games, then what's my motivation to play? In my time zone, the ONLY way to avoid getting pubstompt is to join FW, or log into a game, see who's on the other side, check my internal 'sh!t list' and then decide if I want to join.
Agreed that there is 3 game modes in Public games; however as a newish player, there is no point doing Ambush as I'm going to get killed the second I spawn. At least give me a fighting chance! As for Domination, that's just a uplink/made fest and is usually over in the first 5 mins.
I've also found just recently that FW has more even matches than Pub games. I was even in a game yesterday where both sides had no known corps and it was one of the best games I've had since I started! No proto gear and the game had many ebbs and flows. We won in the end by about 10 clones. I wish all the games I played were like that. I don't know if this was due to the players on at the time, but by 4pm GMT I don't normally play because the Protostomping teams usually start playing and stroke their e-peen by stomping newbs., and the hassle of finding a game without them just isn't worth it.
Oh yeah, I tend to write long posts. I get forum diarrhea from time to time :) |

In public contracts you can find 1 team of 6 of the same corp, the fact that the matchmaking prefer to put 2 teams of 6 on the same side is another issue.

This comment shows how incredibly shortsighted you devs are. People shouldn't be able to join FW till they hit around the 2.5 to 5 mil SP mark or around 50k to 100k WP mark. I know yall have this illusion of grandeur that your game is this nice big fairy dust covered "sandbox" and that stuff like that would break immersion, but when we are talking about fighting for guts, glory, and the all holy LP, NOOBS NEED TO BE BARRED JACKASS!
Stuff....?

It is opposite when I play late in the evening in Europe. I will meet proto squads in almost every pub match I join, and some has as you point out stacked proto squads on the same team and all randoms on the other team. Not all matches goes like this, but many do. In FW matches I never see the same infamous proto Europe corps, there is an occasional advanced squad while most seems to be newer players trying to escape the high skilled players in pub matches. |

You know those tutorial things that new players can choose to do for free stuff? Make that a requirement before graduating from Academy. So not only do they need the SP requirement (which should be raised) but they also have to take those tutorials. You can call them entrance exams. It'll really help new players learn more effectively, and possibly deter vets from creating new alts since theyd have to take those exams over and over again. Nobody likes exams hehehe |

After the downtime in Europe i play FW, is always full of an horde of Japanese players on both side, they tend to sync and stack teams. I still don't know why the matchmaking put me with them, even if there is no server selection in FW i should find another match with players closer to me.
