Creating an untanked alt, and deliberately trying to get killed by friendlies in order to get them kicked?
Jumping on nades, standing in front of ARs, running into reds who are being shelled by mass drivers, running towards friendly OBs. With an untanked scout suit, most players wont be able to react fast enough to prevent it.
I have nothing to lose.
How common do you think this will be?
How could it be prevented?

likely tactic we will be seeing from matari loyalists.
they cant win straight up so they will attempt to sabotage the good work of the empress.
I mean after all, grinding SP and playing and actually getting good at the game are not the ways of the minmatar...
that would require work, diligence, and above all, skill

Besides the time it takes to create a bunch of alts faster then it takes to be booted and locked out of FW.
We'll see a rise of this when FW starts, and then people while quickly determine that it simply takes too long.
You can TK people "faster" without the boot-and-lock feature and without a plethora of alts by playing pub matches and calling LAVs on top of friendly snipers and what have yous...

If every time you throw a grenade I stand on it, is that your fault? Is standing in front of you deliberately whilst you're firing thus likely either getting you a TK or killed by whoever you're shooting at, your fault?

Well in that case he's spending time earning almost no rewards due to self-inflicting losses on his team by causing them to lose due to his actions, so he has an alt earning no isk, almost no LP and pitiful SP. He could instead spend the time at least earning isk to send to his main while griefing pub matches with LAV drops.

Nothing is stopping him, but his form of "griefing" is inefficient.

Or they could stop trying to hold solo players hands and make FW team deploy.
Remove time in battle from ISK payout formula and provide a bonus to winning team... Watch battles become fun again.

If its a blueberry that's doing it purposefully then look at his name and don't throw grenades around him (Or actually cook them). Also in any game with friendly fire you always have the dicks that do this and is pretty difficult to create countermeasures for it since it could very well be a stupid blueberry. |

I do agree that they should add team deploy in FW (This coming from a player that plays solo 90% of the time). |

You're severely underestimating the value of tears and hatemail to certain players, especially Eve vets. |

Still its a poor mechanic. Its not like I can get militia mates to TK me and then ban them from FW for a day. If I could then the Minmatar milita would be a shambles.

Getting killed is as dumb as accidentally killing someone, maybe limit the amount someone can get tk'ed to the same amount it will take to get kicked for tking, would a corporation have use for a merc that useless?

This approach to FW is called "sabotage", and you do it when fighting for a faction you want defeated. It's a way to help your side without having to be on their side.
It isn't cheating any more than a hired mercenary in Planetary Conquest turning around and saying "the other team paid me more" before wiping out the guys who hired him. |

Consider your alt is on the red team your main's corp is fighting and has been trimming down that 12 man roaming fleet all match.

That's exactly it.
You almost have to have blueberries in with you. And it only takes one accident at the low levels to completely screw you over.

and as in eve, it'll be an interesting but overall minor part of the game. after the initial tear farming rush, the population will adjust and griefers will get bored. once in a while you'll see a spectacular grief, which is hilarious and a good thing but it won't be common.
you can grief people today. call an lav and drive people in the redline. suicide all your teams clones. deliberately put uplinks in glitchy locations. why don't we see it every match? because after the first time you see a creative grief it's boring to keep doing it.
someone will read this post and go "hah! i will dedicate 8 hours a day for a year to ruin other's people lives!" go for it, dude. don't burn yourself out.

You can select your team for PC. FW will have randoms, increasing the risk.
FW really just needs team deploy. |
