the community seems seriously outraged by the bpo theft and respec debacle.
now that we all know ccp are dishonest and have no plan to fix this broken game.
and the only people defending them are ccp alts,
can dust survive?

Dust is a wonderful game. it is my favorite.
i seriously dont see the problem at all. I spec into everything.if i specced wrong i grind and wait for another choice not ask for a stupid respec.
i dont complain that guns are bad,the guns are fine,you just need to feel it,love it,and train with it to be good.sure they ned fixing here and there but don't cry about it if they are OP or under powered.deal with it.
if bpos are taken away ,fine,as long as i get my money back.even if i don't, who cares?
the only people that complain are those who hate the game and want it to die
i truly believe that this game can thrive.

Dust is alive and kicking, but the kind of alive where you just sustained multiple gunshot wounds or got hit by a truck and your body is flailing around in shock. It can be saved, but first CCP needs to decide what kind of shooter they are making. The current version is not my taste, but after drastic changes to gameplay over my 4 months with the game, I would be happy with CCP sticking to a model so I can once and for all decide whether I want to stick around. The BPO thing sucks, and I could care less about respecs. My main concern is the twitch shooter feel Dust currently has. Hard to justify grinding for over a year to die in .3 seconds to anyone of any level. |

While I wouldn't be happy losing any of my beloved BPOs I'd console myself with the thought that another BPO would come along that I could eventually fall in love with too.

Dust is certainly not dying, but it could be better.
Some eggs need to be broken.
Some entitlements stripped away.
Once CCP gets Balance straight, we'll have a truly exceptional game.
The potential here is huge, and I'm confident that CCP will see it through.

eve only survives because it found a niche.
do you think dust can do the same?
what does dust add to the gaming world, or FPS?
other than a laughable eve connection dust is sub par with a bunch of lying cheats at the helm. |

Deeper customization than any other FPS and faction warfare has a pretty heavy influence eve side. Make that effect Sov mechanics and you will have eve corps kicking your door in to hire us. |

I spent about 500$ on dust, have an eve accunt, bought the collectors addition.
I defended dust against people who made the very same kind of thread I made, trolled them, laughed at them, asked "can I has isk"
then they banned my main for voicing my concerns about taking my bpo's and that was the last straw... and believe me I started out with lots of straws....
all they do is alienate their fans |

He is just passionate . Give it some time . This is what I call " towing the company line " and when you have someone who " doesn't care " what is done because " it will all be alright ", there is nothing that can be done to this person to begin with .

you speculate on the eve corps caring about dust....it could also make eve players quit if done wrong...
deep customization is nice, but what exactly does customization matter if theres no meat to the game play to execute that customization?

Despite all the doomsday rhetoric dust has had surprisingly high numbers this week and last, hovering right around 4000 players at any given time, despite the release of the PS4. I wouldn't say dust is dying by a long shot; it's just that time of the month when the sheen of the new update has died down and the next one is too far off to be excited about.

Incredibly deep customization and the risk of real loss makes combat more interesting than any other FPS game ever made. Compare the motivation to survive in a million ISK tank vs. using a free one that the game spawns for you in every other FPS. Which one is more like real combat? Which one has to weigh the importance of completing the mission/taking the objective vs. staying alive?
TTK is game-breaking, but I have faith CCP will get things balanced.
