Not the dropsuit class in general.
That answer is not valid. The Minmatar sacrifice way to much HP for a slight increase of speed.
The Amarr Logistics at the ADV tier is exactly like the Minmatar at ADV but with a sidearm slot slapped onto it.

Amarr Logistics sacrifices way too much speed for the extra HP it gets IMO. Lmao yeah man and min gets no sidearm. When im holding a point with my massdriver and you come after me or get in my face I have a prof sixkin for you to eat bullets. What does a min have. Um nothing. I could destroy your puny Minnie logi anyday anytime and make you eat that statement. Lol yeah okay.
Prof V with my freedom along with my Allotek Flux Nade and 3 complex damage mods would send you and your entire team crying.
And if that doesn't work then I'll just get in my optimal and gun you down with a Duvolle or Allotek Burst before your first two shots even hit me.

Why is the Amarr logi so amazing at advanced level? Did no one look at a 3-3-3+sidearm layout and think it was OP for advanced? |

I find myself using all 60 bullets just before someone is dead very often. And there have been times when I ran out of ammo in my Primary and had no time to drop a hive.
Also, the sidearm can save your life if you're running a Scrambler Rifle. If you're close to overheating, switch to your sidearm and kill.

There is no point in complaining about the Advanced Amarr Logi when the Proto Caldari Logi has 5 High Slots and 4 Low Slots I wouldn't say far worse, the sidearm is worth at least one slot, and arguably two given the calogi proto struggles to fill all its slots - it has 40 less CPU than the Amarr. The Amarr logi is more or less balanced at proto but out of whack at advanced, IMO. |

I have a noobish question and this seems as good a place as any to ask it. If I have say Gallente logistics level 5, then get Amarr level 3, do I get 5 armour repair when I'm using the Amarr suit or 3 armour repair?
The regen bonus is described as a 'logistics' bonus rather than as a racial specific bonus, but the Dust fitting tool suggests that you need the racial specific skill even to get the generic logistics bonus. It's not something I'm actually thinking of doing, but just wondered how it works. |

Gal logi is the best suit. callogis nerf made a CPU mod almost mandatory, so its really only 5highs 3 lows 3 equipment slots. Amarr assaults the best assault suit, using at least a k17d hive, at least 2 complex dmg mods, with as much armor as possible, and prof5 on the imperial ScR. The amarr assault gets almost as much PG & CPU as a logi so its great. The minmatar logi is arguably the best PC suit because of the speed & hacking abilities it can do, while running a shotty in cities. |

Hmm still a fully plated Gal Logi gets beaten by a std heavy in terms of total eHP plus the Heavy can fit a sidearm.
Yes the gal logi is good especially when you want to use lots of equipment but I really prefere the Minni Logi by now as the bonus is great and I can easily keep up with my Assault brothers to give them the love they need |

dude try this fit and tell me its not good at assaulting
Logistics Ako 1 imperial scrambler rifle , 1 scrambler pistol (your choice) 1 locust grenade
low slots- 1 complex armour plate , 2 complex armour repair and 1 enhanced shield regulator
high slots - 2 enhances shield extenders and 1 enhanced shield enegiser
equipment all std - 1 dropuplink, 1 nano hive , and 1 flux active scanner , the hp regen on this fit is amazing and it will serve you well when assaulting any position as long as you know when to take cover , in this fit I can go as little as 100 armour and regen to full hp within 12 seconds it really is good for hit run hide assault tactics .

I cant wait till the meta changes again, it does show that CCP is doing something right. We couldn't have this much debate if they weren't so close to each other. These new rifles should make things interesting and I bet the forums are going to burn and the tears will flow. All new weapons will have at least one op and one up thread. It is going to be sweet. I think that it may be worse than the Awox flood that we had at release.
Has anyone been awoxed lately? It was so bad that it had to be fixed right away yet I haven't seen or heard anything after that first couple of weeks. I remember those threads, sometimes I close my eyes and just laugh at those threads. It was - without doubt - the worst thing to ever happen to DUST514 and totally broke the game. Big fat tears. Those threads were the best and I may dig one up.

Looks to me like a shoddy fit, the suit doesnt know what it wants to be, you wanna make it a shield regen fit while also having good repair, while having actually little shield EHP & Armor to repair back up (+-220 ish shield & 367 ish armor), my assault suit has more shields and more armor and can sustain multiple firefights.
Sure they both come back up faster, but during one gunfight, with someone that can aim will blow right trough you, after yer dead, that regen means squat.
Ive tried many fits on my Proto amarr logi, it pales at offensive based gameplay vs my assault suit.

yes it suffers to immediate alph damage in a strait up fire fight, but im not often found engaging the enemy from the front, if they get the drop on me yea sure im done but that's what the scanners for, if I go down that's what the uplinks are for, as I said I like this fit because of the fast regen and iv been running it for a while and found it quite profitable if you know when to engage and when to run. yes your assault suit has more shields and armour its a bloody assault suit my assault AKO can stand well in a direct fire fight but my Logistics Ako isn't a front line suit , I use it like a guerrilla warfare suit i.e. hit run hide and allways attack from the flank.

Hit & Run doesnt inspire me to see it as a God Suit.
though it is a really good suit, it got way to much speed penalty/slots, opposed to the gallente version or the caldari for a sidearm.
you should try out, no repper, basic plates mixed with ferro playes, a K17 repper hive, 2 complex shields, 1 complex dmg mod, just use its natural 5 h/s reps, the advanced scanner and guns fit what you like.
Much more hit & run, if you can run, then repair when you are hiding.
Or on a chockepoint drop 2x repper hives on the floor and hold it with 45 reps a second, if you can fit alloteks, or wyrkomi, youd have 80 or 140 reps a second.
Aint nothing passing you there.

I have 4 prof light weapons and 2 prof sidearms. I will give you and idea of how I fit my suits. This is proto fit with Massdriver
2 Complex damage mods 1 Complex Shield Ext 3 basic armor plates 1 enhanced armor plate Freedom Massdriver Six kin Smg Allotek Hive R9 uplinks Stable Scanner Core Nades
I have many more weapons and many more setups including a laser which having a sidearm is crucial with that thing. The suit is good for point control and defensive positions. Such as from the rail in the cargo hub looking into the objective in DOM. I am self sufficient. I can scan and I have a sidearm just in case they come to get me.

I agree with your assessment of this fit - somehow manages to have neither serious tank nor damage mods . my suit knows exactly what its purpose is I don't use damage mods because well I don't need them with my imperial with prof 4, honestly try the fit then tell me its pants I go 13+ kills and over 2000wp 80% of the time I run this fit , its all in the play style hit run hide and regen, as I said I can have full hp within 12 seconds even if im stripped to bellow 100 armour. If you're a decent player those scores don't tell me much about the fit. But if it works for you that's fine, just saying I'd prefer a bit more firepower and defences, even if it does mean sitting on a rep hive for 30 seconds after the meatier engagements. |
