From what I've seen in dust.
Call:weapons either do massive damage over long range or short, mid range is not their freinds. Nanohives suggests their weapons all have low ammo compaired to others.
Amarr (ian scum): Long range domination with devistating weapons means crap suits compaired to all other races, drop uplink suggests they expect to die at some point due to said crap suits.
(Win) Matari: Focus on speed and balenced suits compaired to others use of explosives and projectile weapons to hammer the hostiles or take them down quickly with DA DAKKA, best bonuses in the game to counter suits not truly being the best. They do however seem to be the best choice for logistics work, the rep tool suggesting they'd rather keep soldiers alive then have them respawn or be picked up.
Gall: The brawlers tanked to take on any infantry their high rof high ammo caped weapons most likely mean they're focused on infantry decimation, AV seems subpar but that may be because they don't need powerfull AV due to their devistating tanks, scanners and drones (SOONtm) help locate and decimate hostile infantry.
And yes I realize there's not much on Amarr and caldari, I'm not a fan of either.
Anyway: thoughts?

Add in that the Caldari use shields and are therefore (usually) faster than Gallente, but also easier to "see". And we use our shields as our primary defensive measure, meaning if we get hit, we try to run away, instead of standing toe-to-toe. Because we use shields and are thus faster, we usually escape, unless we get caught in the open.
We're in the back, providing supporting fire, because we know the frontline is not made for us. We use our native speed to get right up on top of you or to get to a better long range position faster. With our passive regen, we actually can take a couple of shots, hide, get our shields back and go at it again, before you even touch our armor.

Nice work, Sinboto.
Curious...did you only account for the current suits, weapons, and equipment in the game or were you projecting out if there were a full set of racial variants? |

The former, there's still many features that haven't been announced as such I can't account for them. (Like say a Minmatar AV weapon, it simply doesn't exist in-game so I can't speak on it)

Caldari are still suffering from being the smallest empire and having one of the lowest populations after the long caldari-gallente war, emphasis is put on highly trained and exceptionally skilled soldiers. They're also big believers in using economic advantages to compensate for less bodies (tanks, lavs, dropships).
Amarr suits have the highest (base) hp totals of all the suits, and they currently have the only heavy suit which speaks volumes about the emphasis they place on making an individual soldier 'indestructible', though they are the slowest leading to slower advances. Their current weapons require skilled use but when wielded properly are capable of dropping opponents quickly making them devastating 'monsters' of opponents. Their weapons (and more importantly their assault suits, because to the amarr the *suit* is the weapon) favor long duration engagements to get the most out of them (laser rifle dmg buildup / scr charge & overheat feathering). Overall this leads to a kind of haughty "Stand and Deliver" attitude from the amarr, where they will willingly advance steadily into your fire shrugging off you ineffective weapons with their massive hp totals and once their weapons warm up they'll cut down any who dare stand infront of the warriors of their god. Even the logistics suit seemingly expects to take a frontline role in the combat with their sidearm slots. |
