a single guy locking down the entire map from an entire squad of tanks is NOT balanced, get that through your thick head, tanks are meant to overpower infantry... AV completely eliminates the reason to have tank on the field because its so damn op.

Not everyone wants to be a tanker, but everyone needs to have at least BASIC infantry skills.
What does that mean? That the game is an infantry game first, tanks come around that.

Thanks were not meant to dominate everything. They were meant for area denial. And AV is Anti-Vehicle. It is designed BY TITLE ITSELF to be a hard counter to HAVs.
Why do you want all of the HAVs to roflstomp everything in the game with no AV resistance? Why would anyone want to play a game where 90% of matches can be one by doing nothing but spamming HAVs?
We all know that tanks will soon be the only viable way to destroy a tank, and tanks will be the best thing to have on the field. When people get tired of getting stomped by tanks and thier best weapons doing jack $#!t, they will either become a tanker or leave. I'm guessing the latter. And PS4 comes out tomorrow?

The new PRO swarms deal 1320 base damage per clip.
(1320*6=7920)
Meaning that if an entire squad emptied their clip of swarms into ONE tank, they would do 7920. That is a huge problem when HAVs have around 33k eHP.
Meaning tanks would be roflstompeasyofficerweaponredlinethale'striagehivescrwithamarrasssuaktmk.0duvolle mode.

currently that fitting can almost tank an entire forger gunners base ammo capacity....
as for the tank changes in 1.7 im not sure whats going to happen to my decently fitted soma tank.
it can take a few/2-3, mlt swarm hits. before needed to head back for reps. still have no proper protection from av nades.
although i think it would be nice if my obs that i dropped directly ontop of those havs had not survived...
only way to kill a tank now a days is an ob+av at the same time.. the av just finishing the hav off..
if active resists are made to be less effective that could solve the current tank problems..
i dont think the reppers are the problems at that point as they really only provide barely enough time to escape death. i feel the active resist mods are the issues at hand. |

You're correct. But honestly it shouldn't matter. I've never considered dropships worthy gunships for passengers. I did manage to fit an 11k ehp ship (30sec, 3-4k-ish passive i think) with two rail turrets, but that's only for the seats. I don't plan on using these as a shooting platform, only transporting and uplinking.

I did terrible at math all throughout school and I know you're lying to prove a lame point. You're forgetting proficiency. You're forgetting the ability to stack 5 damage mods on PRO suits. You're forgetting that if they're smart, they'll hold back 4 people, or meet the tank on another area of the map to ambush it when a hardener goes offline.
You're basically forgetting everything else except rudimentary stuff. Which is par for the course for infantry.

fair enough. Ive seen thi go back and forth. I know the person i am quoting , daishi, void echo..the others(you know who you are) are already indestructable as it stands. we will see what happens. but keep in mind that we are looking at a respec soon, and some 30 million SP players might just dump it into tanks to give you guys a challenge.

with the new specs of vehicles, a lot of us are planning on speccing out of vehicles, nobody that I know of is sticking with them if our fears are true.
