Heya Everyone!
Been mulling over the charts, and I just can't find a way to make these new 1.7 statistics match up to the awesomeness that is the vehicle I have now? Is this intentional for them to be seemingly nerfing tanks? I took a break when FFXIV came out, and am returning soon... Is there something I am missing? or are the tanks actually getting nerfed with this rework?
@ CharOdell - dude, let me know if you found some good combinations with the new stats, I cant seem to find anything comparable to what I have now. |

I had a chat with odell on the day they released the new stats and we both drew the same numbers and I have to tell you gunlogis will be anything but up when 1.7 hits, yes the blank hulls and mods don't look to effective but if you crunch all the numbers they will be next to indestructible while mods are active and only be vulnerable when on cool down tanking will have a new lease of life in 1.7 bring it on.
Its gone from suck .....to blow

Oh, someone sees the actuality of the situation. Here I thought nearly all the people that called themselves "tankers" were too narrow visioned to see what's actually going on. While they claim tanks to be soon unstoppable since AV is getting toned down a bit, I've just been shaking my head since they don't seem to realize that everything about the HAVs is getting changed dramatically.
Not only are stats changing, there's something bigger that people have been crutching with heavily in Uprising. It's getting fixed by becoming a passive that does extremely little compared to the bugged versions we have now. I figure it'll work just like the infantry's, only doing work while not under fire. There is going to be so many dead tanks. So many.
So, I'll give you a +1, because you've given me slight hope for everyone else. In my opinion, they're going to become like Battlefield tanks. Not too strong, but not a kitten either.
If you think Plasma Rifles take skill to use and are fine as they are, you are the problem.

I'm a little bit more confused with what they'll do with the slot layout for Minmatar and Amarr LAVs if the Gallente and Caldari highs and lows stay as they do.
maybe Amarr would have three lows and no highs at standard and Minmatar would be the opposite at standard level.
The newer the berry the dumber the juice.

AV was nerfed. Tankers will never be happy. You can survive an orbi in 1.7 using active defeses, dafuq do you want?

When the nummbers were released, there was no word about the AV numbers ... the nerfed swarms/nades (and hopefully forge) has BIG impact on tank performance in 1.7.
Also, Gunnlogi suffer from long CDs and Madrugars can't take burst damage ... I'm not sure at the very moment. |

yes but we could crunch the ehps of each tank and compare armour tanking to shield tanking. I haven't spoken to odell since the release of the new av weponary stats but given you will have gunlogis with 60% resist swarms wont even touch us while our mods are active.
from the numbers we crunched a maddy wont last more than 10 seconds when assaulted by damage modded missiles , gunlogis will have ultra long cool downs but will be devastating during mod cycle . im looking forward to being able to burst tank my gunlogis.

I've been mulling with the vehicle fitting tool stickied here and have been pleased with my tinkering.
I've made tanks with 31k ehp (30sec, 4k passive, max skills iirc), and proto blasters. I've looked at dropships with 18k ehp for 30sec or 6k for 1min and a 15 sec cooldown with afterburner.
I don't know how accurate this tool is or if any things changed, but so far I'm excited. I just wish I had my ADS...

Wow I think that will lead to tanks rushing in and trying to retreat to the redline all the time (and crying for nerfs if they couldn't make it ) and to Infantry crying because they need half a Team to bring down Tanks . The Time after 1.7 (assuming the changes are in) will be quite interesting on the Forums... |

Not too strong, but not a kitten either. narrow minded? is that some sort of insult? there are those of us who insist it's a nerf and there are those who think tanks will be unstoppable(mainly swarmers)
I have no Idea what to expect from the new tanks myself. I can tell you that a lot is changing and it looks from my seat to be a good thing.
armor reps are passive but that is neither good nor bad by nature.
the only thing that bothers me in the new stats is the lack of an ADV or PRO tank. the STD is cpu/pg starved and won't be able to be full proto fit also it is a little slot starved imo.

I can survive an orbital now lol. Tested it one day, just sat in one without moving no problems. True dedicated tankers whom have any skill at all know orbitals are of no threat now :p |

Is there something I am missing? or are the tanks actually getting nerfed with this rework?
@ CharOdell - dude, let me know if you found some good combinations with the new stats, I cant seem to find anything comparable to what I have now. Of course the coming nerf to tanks is intentional. They're removing active armor reps, soon they will be passive.

maybe Amarr would have three lows and no highs at standard and Minmatar would be the opposite at standard level. Minmatar would have to have their own small passive reps to make them at all viable. If there's no lows, there's no PG expansion, no ammo expansion, and no possibility for rep modules.

We're still not going to be happy because the damage percentage is still basically going to be the same regarding AV against tanks. We'll be happy when tank v tank battles are closer to Chromosome.
