Starter Suits should be different from militia stuff.
They should have even less customizability, but have characteristics that inherently reflect their race and allow new players to learn how a faction is supposed to play/what its strengths are.
So Amarr Frontline gets a Scrambler Rifle and a Scrambler Pistol, with grenades. High armor.
Minmatar Frontline gets Combat Rifle + SMG and militia REs. High speed stats.
Gallente Frontline has Assault Rifle + Ion Pistol, with a scanner equipped. High armor regeneration.
Caldari Frontline is Rail Rifle + Magsec SMG and nanohive. Shield is obviously high point.
Note that the listed items are the only things equipped to those suits, with no free slots.
For the Medic fits, you'd get a support semi-Logi role:
Amarr: Laser Rifle + Scrambler Pistol, nanite injector and drop uplink.
Minmatar: Mass Driver + Flaylock, nanite injector and repair tool.
Gallente: PLC/shotgun + Ion Pistol, nanite injector and flux grenades.
Caldari: RR + Magsec SMG, nanites, ? (Nanohive would overlap with the Frontline fit)
AV:
Amarr: An LAV blueprint, with hardeners and overdrive modules but no turret, and an ornamental suit equipped with only a set of nova knifes and REs, as well as gimped speed stats and extreme armor. I think this suits religious fanatics without dedicated AV weapons.
Minmatar: Flaylock + REs + Proximity Mines + 4 sidearm damage mods
Gallente: PLC + Ion Pistol + Flux grenade + 3 light damage mods
Caldari: Swarmer + Bolt Pistol (Otherwise it literally can't do damage to infantry) + AV grenades + 3 light damage mods
Sniper:
Amarr: Militia Sniper + Scrambler Pistol
Minmatar: Militia Tactical Sniper + SMG
Gallente: Militia Tactical Sniper + Ion Pistol
Caldari: Militia Charge Sniper + Bolt Pistol
However, one might argue that the Minmatar sniper should have enhanced speed and nova knifes, Amarr more stamina and Gallente and Caldari higher scan range. However, scan range is something that a newbie wouldn't even notice. |

A) Not all races have SMGs
B) The AR and Ion pistol are way underpowered compared to the other weapons.
