Interesting post, Sinboto... +1
I'm an average slayer...I can occasionally get a decent kill streak in but more often than not I'm even KDR or slightly underwater.
I knew that before I even started Dust though.
My number 1 goal is to be the best team mate possible and I pretty much focus my efforts on that. I take a lot of pride in kill assists, hacking, shielding hackers, or making a solo run to get an uplink down on our next objective, or flanking and disrupting enemies while our real slayers knock them down, and protecting our Logibro's so they can keep the machine going. Victory in the match is what I'm looking for.
No matter how rough some parts of the game are at the moment...I'm having a blast.

Well, I assess each battle and do the best that I can with my main fitting, which is Amarr Assault (Templar variant suit) with the Templar Laser rifle, until I decide to start using the advanced Amarr assault and fit an advanced LR with it.
I run with a squad when I can, but when not, I just try to find ways to use my weapon of choice to support my team by burning down weakened enemies, or singling out troublesome rambo's. I'm terribad at close-quarters combat. I just point my scrambler pistol at the baddie and hope for the best.
Whenever we're getting protostomped or just generally smacked around, I pull out a Baloch (Militia LAV) with a militia active scanner, and do my best to turn enemy players into proto-pancakes. Or at least annoy them enough to make them pull out Wyrkomi Swarms. Kek.

:) ill take Above Average then when you give it to me, but i am way passed being really good back then, its gonna s*ck when i am 50 and a new shooter comes out, especially when you see stuff like the Omni being made to run in and the Oculus Rift, my neck already hurst when i turn it normally, let alone with an entire helmet on my head....4-5 hours a day ...

I would say I'm poor to below average, but I've only been doing this for about two weeks. I'm quite confused, however the more I play the more I get a sense for the game.
For a rookie, it's quite difficult to break into it all. There hasn't been one game where some player or groups of players know all the hidden spots and tricks for each map. I'm against people with huge dps, using massive weapons, big shield and armor tanks, and running around with skills that would take months to achieve. It's even more discouraging to realize that when I get those skills in the next few months, those players will be even greater skilled.
I refuse to buy AUR, as I think that's just a silly cash cow for CCP. I hope it's a trend that does not stay in online games... as paying to win is a joke to me.
With that said, I do have fun playing, but I think the game matching can be better done as it seems to randomly place teams with no skill balance. I'll play for a while more, but if I can't get over the rookie hump, then I think I'll pass on this one. |

Usually go 1 for one.
If its not a pub stomp like usual, I can go up to 2 for one, but usually 2.5 KDR.

With a KDR of 1.15 I'm clearly in the average group.
I'd like to think much of that is because of kbm, but really that's just an excuse.
On the bright side, I'm trending upwards.
Now being 43, I don't ever think I'll be the gamer I was when I was in my 20's and 30's and played competitively -- and I'm cool with that. |

I'd rather just pay for the game. I don't have a beef with "extra" pay only items, but only if it's for aesthetic purposes. Seems paying for better weapons, armor, items, and boosters to skills only unbalances the game. Why should someone be better just because they can afford to boost skills? It's not a good atmosphere for gaming. |

I don't think you are ever going to be truly satisfied in gaming unless you reside in some country where the state is so powerful that they decide to provide entertainment to it's oppressed populace for free.
This isn't Alice in Wonderland. Businesses have to make money.
I know plenty of people that are badass at this game that have never spent a dime. I'm average and I've spent a ton.

Seeing some of you in here who claim average, or above average, that makes me bottom of the barrel.
I nearly always finish in the middle of the team (6-10), unless I'm having a bad game, then I'm in the bottom 5.
