now that alot of stuff is being added to the game I've made a timeline based on the advancing the core presentation from fanfest. the time frame during fanfest was 1-12 months for near future and 18+ for far future. Now it's been 7 months so near future to get all this stuff out is in the next 4-5 months and the far future ones in 11+ months
Near future dropsuits. Ammar light frame, caldari light frame, caldari heavy, minmitar heavy, gallante heavy. pilot role Far future dropsuits. non combat roles (war reporter, harvester), race specific huds, enviroment-specific suits. Near future mechanics. all already in. (you see ccp do work) Far future mechanics. fully electronic warfare (the most we can do right niw is flux grenades) This includes going as far as disabling peoples chat ability with squad and altering what they see . Near future weapons. caldari rail rifle, minmitar combat rifle, gallante ion pistol, caldari rail pistol, multiple grenade slots. Far future weapons. Tech 3 weapon customization (attachments), Eve players making weapons. Near future equipment. Cloak, bubble shield, color coded nanohives. Statis webifier, energy drainer Far fututre equipment. Bonus short term effects when using nanite injector, infantry deployed turrets. Near future modules. Done with 1.7. Far future modules. active infantry modules, Area of effect modules. Near future vehicles. Improving first/third person hud. ammar and minmitar vehicle varients/ turrets. Far future vehicles. firing from open kit positions, new types (mav,jet, speeder etc). 1: We got active scanners, and we got scanning modules, so that's countermeasures between Gallente and Caldari's EWAR, and Gallente's EWAR. All we need is tackling equipment, jammers for Caldari, some kind of Target painter for WInmatar and infantry tracking modules, and a tracking jammer of some sort for Amarr.
2: I want to manufacture too dammit
3: Wolfman took away modules in 1.7, so that doesn't really count.

It would be nice to see the removal of the punchcard aspect of capping out. I like Dust, I don't need a carrot to make me play.
Remove time in battle from ISK payout formula and provide a bonus to winning team... Watch battles become fun again.

If that cloak comes, I'm out. Once again, CCP blatantly putting something in the game that is universally considered OP, but thinking the playerbase won't mind it in there game.
HMGs - had to be nerfed HAVs - had to be nerfed MDs/Flaylocks - had to be nerfed Contact Grenades - had to be nerfed Scanner - will be nerfed ... Cloak
When will they learn? Instead of improving on an FPS, they just copy from other games and try to make it their own, but end up making it OP.
Besides the more junk they put in the game, the more it will stop working correctly. They can't even juggle the coding now, what are they going to do when it's 20x as much? |

also ccp are gonna be making ALOT of weapons so listing all them and explaining each one in a presentation takes to long Ex: the magsec SMG will definatley be out in less than a year but wasn't mentioned :)

I had forgotten about that list - the racial suits is what I'm really waiting for. The new weapons less so because I'm always worried about the effect they have on balance. I hope they have learnt from the mistakes made with the flaylock and tested a little more this time. |

Interesting stuff. But honestly, none of this matters until we get a bit more variety in game. I don't need more stuff to skill into at this point. What I need are more options for my game play. More maps are needed urgently.
But more importantly from a content perspective is the need for more objective based game modes. Fancy suits and equipment, shiny new weapons and modules, enhancements to the UI all pale when compared to the DESPERATE need to more multiplayer game modes. |

however that doesn't mean CCP aren't working on them
confirmed gamemodes include: 2 PVE modes,Conquest,Penetration (capital ship boarding) and gladiator arena (fun classic FPS modes like CTF and deathmatch) Also some map concepts seem neat like lava planets, zero gravity space battles etc

+1 for the good food-for-thought; I really hope CCP does know how to add stuff without having to destroy everything good they have done, or else, this game is going to have a very short lifespan.

Near Future
Mechanics
Gameplay controls - Aim assist improvements are in the works. With 'aim friction', the reticle slows down once it hits its target, making finer movements possible. 'Aim adhesion' moves the reticle slightly as the target moves to help with tracking, while 'aim magnetism' rotates your character to keep the target in your view. Gavin assured the audience that aim assist functions will be GÇ£only working when you donGÇÖt notice them.GÇ¥
Hacking - Hacking deployable equipment (like infantry-deployed turret like infantry-deployed turret installations) and infantry equipment like nanohives , drop links etc. will be implemented. This adds another layer in strategy concerning where these items are placed.
Dropsuits
Caldari and Amar light dropsuits and Caldari, Galente, and Minmatar heavy suits will be added.
The Pilot - Weak outside of vehicles but in a vehicle this role increases overall efficiency and gives a real boost to vehicular prowess.
Weapons
Caldari and Minmatar assault rifles and Galente and Caldari pistols will be added.
Double grenade slots on some dropsuits.
Equipment
Drop uplinks - Personal and squad-restricted uplinks that give you more control over who can use your strategically placed spawn points.
Nanohives - These will be given different colored bubbles to denote what kind of benefit youGÇÖll get from each.
Bubble shield - A deployable shield that protects you from gunfire, including from snipers.
Cloak field - Cloaking grants you predator-like stealth abilities. However, cloaking breaks if you fire and is disturbed if you move.
Stasis webifier - In EVE Online, this skill slows down ships by 50-60%. We will get the ability to freeze tanks and dropships in their place
Energy drainer - In EVE Online, a similar skill transfers the enemyGÇÖs energy into your ship. We can speculate what that may equate to in the DUST 514 realm.

Far Future
Mechanics
Electronic Warfare - Electronic warfare gameplay will be the other side of combat. An EW merc contributes with the notion that knowledge is power. The ability to give advanced intel to your squad on the nature of your enemy, as well as manipulating their intel, is at the core of this gameplay style. The coolest example mentioned was the ability to switch off your enemies voice comms.
Dropsuits
War Reporter and Harvester - Not much was said about these, but I presume Harvester could have something to do with salvaging dead mercs. The PvE Rogue Drone game modes are going to offer this industry aspect so it isnGÇÖt unreasonable to think it will be applied to battles too.
Race specific HUDs - Making the HUD look and feel more in line with the different races and their style of technology fits with making DUST 514 feel more real in the context of EVEGÇÖs lore.
Environment-specific suits - Environment attributes that affect gameplay, such as snow levels that slow the heat build-up in weapons. Suits, weapons, and modules will be released to deal with these positive and negative planetary attributes. If youGÇÖre fighting on a district of a snowy planet, then having your squad dressed in snow-resistant armor and weaponry would give you an advantage over your enemy that they could only negate by doing the same.
Weapons
Tech 3 weapon customisation - This awesome feature will allow players to create their ultimate weapon by switching in various attachments and making alterations that affect its functionality.
Equipment
Nanite injector - Short term effects of using the nanite injector will include increased armor damage bonus for a set time.
Infantry-deployed installation turrets - player owned turrets that are orbitally delivered to the field.
Vehicles
Firing as a passenger in Light Attack Vehicles and Dropships
New vehicle classes - The fighter jet and the hover bike were revealed at FanFest, and also mentioned MTACs which are mechs, but they weren't ready to show them to us. Also the MAV a futuristic IFV was shown in a different presentation.
tech 3 equipment and Enviroment suits does this mean we may have planets tht limit the equiptment we use or could we be battling on a gass planet or something?

This is all old news but thought I might as well fill in the gaps that you missed.
near future - new FW system with standings and a LP store.
mid future - PC 2.0, war barges flown by capsuleers carry merc in PC, districts generate eve resources.
Secondary Player Market.
far future - Penetration Game mode played inside a Titan.

some magic just happened i wont say where lol all these ideas are keeping me awake i got up at 3.am this morning for work ive been stuck on the forums since i got back its now 00.20 lol i was thinking about under water lvls earlier in particually for mining but be very interesting to see how a battle works, can see lazer rifles exploding.

Gameplay controls - Aim assist improvements are in the works. With 'aim friction', the reticle slows down once it hits its target, making finer movements possible. Dropsuits
Caldari and Amar light dropsuits and Caldari, Galente, and Minmatar heavy suits will be added.
The Pilot - Weak outside of vehicles but in a vehicle this role increases overall efficiency and gives a real boost to vehicular prowess.
Weapons
Caldari and Minmatar assault rifles and Galente and Caldari pistols will be added.
Double grenade slots on some dropsuits.
Equipment
Drop uplinks - Personal and squad-restricted uplinks that give you more control over who can use your strategically placed spawn points.
Nanohives - These will be given different colored bubbles to denote what kind of benefit youGÇÖll get from each.
Bubble shield - A deployable shield that protects you from gunfire, including from snipers.
Cloak field - Cloaking grants you predator-like stealth abilities. However, cloaking breaks if you fire and is disturbed if you move.
Stasis webifier - In EVE Online, this skill slows down ships by 50-60%. We will get the ability to freeze tanks and dropships in their place
Energy drainer - In EVE Online, a similar skill transfers the enemyGÇÖs energy into your ship. We can speculate what that may equate to in the DUST 514 realm.

Mechanics
Electronic Warfare - Electronic warfare gameplay will be the other side of combat. An EW merc contributes with the notion that knowledge is power. The ability to give advanced intel to your squad on the nature of your enemy, as well as manipulating their intel, is at the core of this gameplay style. The coolest example mentioned was the ability to switch off your enemies voice comms.
Dropsuits
War Reporter and Harvester - Not much was said about these, but I presume Harvester could have something to do with salvaging dead mercs. The PvE Rogue Drone game modes are going to offer this industry aspect so it isnGÇÖt unreasonable to think it will be applied to battles too.
Race specific HUDs - Making the HUD look and feel more in line with the different races and their style of technology fits with making DUST 514 feel more real in the context of EVEGÇÖs lore.
Environment-specific suits - Environment attributes that affect gameplay, such as snow levels that slow the heat build-up in weapons. Suits, weapons, and modules will be released to deal with these positive and negative planetary attributes. If youGÇÖre fighting on a district of a snowy planet, then having your squad dressed in snow-resistant armor and weaponry would give you an advantage over your enemy that they could only negate by doing the same.

Tech 3 weapon customisation - This awesome feature will allow players to create their ultimate weapon by switching in various attachments and making alterations that affect its functionality.
Equipment
Nanite injector - Short term effects of using the nanite injector will include increased armor damage bonus for a set time.
Infantry-deployed installation turrets - player owned turrets that are orbitally delivered to the field.
Vehicles
Firing as a passenger in Light Attack Vehicles and Dropships
New vehicle classes - The fighter jet and the hover bike were revealed at FanFest, and also mentioned MTACs which are mechs, but they weren't ready to show them to us. Also the MAV a futuristic IFV was shown in a different presentation.
Wait a minute here CCP said that they were going to actually make a war reporter suit? I suggested that way back when in the Wolfman's Wonderful World Of Weapons thread. If you want details on the suggestion to add to your post look there. I made a more specific request for a battle field photographer later (which I have been able to find) here that is built around a similar theme.
